<br />117 <br />Special Meeting December 19, 1983 Page 4 <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration theæoption of an Ordin- <br />ance, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> ORDINANCE AUTHORIZING THE ISSUANCE OF $300,000 <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, COMBINATION TAX AND <br /> REVENUE CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION, SERIES 1984. <br />Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Ordinance and Mr. Brown seconded <br />the motion. Bond Attorney Rick Fisher advised Section 3 of the Ordin- <br />ance needed to be amended to complete the blanks as follows, which he <br />then read into the record as follows: <br /> "Section 3. INTEREST. . . . <br /> Certificates maturing 1985, 7.65%; <br /> Certificates maturing 1986, 7.90%; <br /> Certificates maturing 1987, 8.15%; <br /> Certificates maturing 1988, 8.40%; " <br /> . . . <br />Mayor Craddock moved to amend Section 3 as read into the record by <br />Rick Fisher and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed unani- <br />mously. The Council then voted unanimously for adoption of the <br />Ordinance. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of form and con- <br />tent of the paying agent/registrar agreements in connection with each <br />of the above issues of certificates of obligation. Mr. Brown moved <br />to authorize the execution of the paying agent/registrar agreements <br />for the $1,500,000 Waterworks and Sewer System Revenue Certificates <br />of Obligation, Series 1984, with American National Bank of Austin <br />and execution of the paying agent/registrar agreement with American <br />National Bank of Austin for the Combination Tax and Revenue Certificates <br />of Obligation, Series 1984 for $300,000. Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the adoption of a Resolu- <br />tion approving the terms and conditions of a lease with GT+3 Flight <br />Operations, Inc. at the Municipal Airport. Mr. Guerra moved to table <br />the Resolution because the Lessee's banker wanted amendments to be made <br />in the lease agreement prior to the Council's consideration. Mr. Farr <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for payment of <br />cost overrun of the Softball Complex. Mr. Farr moved this item be <br />removed from the table (tabling motion made December 12, 1983) and <br />Mayor Craddock seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. <br />KreQZrrer moved for approval of payment of $35,000.00 from fund balance <br />for the cost overrun and Mr. Guerra seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for allocation <br />of Revenue Sharing Entitlement No. 15 funds of $15,000.00 to the San <br />Marcos Main Street Project. The City of San Marcos was unsuccessful <br />in being accepted for state funding with the Main Street project and <br />that was the need for the monies to be allocated for the San Marcos <br />Main Street Project to receive the funds to work on the Main Street <br />Project without the assistance of the State funding. Mr. Farr moved <br />for approval of the $15,000 from Revenue Sharing 15 funds and Mr. Brown <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />
