<br /> 128 <br /> Regular Meeting December 29, 1983 Page 6 <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br /> on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, ABANDONING AND VACATING A PORTION OF <br /> AN ALLEY AND A PORTION OF NEVADA STREET IN THE z. <br /> WILLIAMSON THIRD ADDITION TO THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br /> TEXAS; PROVIDING FOR THE REVERSION OF FEE IN SAID <br /> LAND AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mr. Farr moved to approve the Ordinance on second reading and Mayor <br /> Craddock seconded the motion. Acting City Attorney Charles Chapman <br /> advised an amendment to the Ordinance may be needed regarding fee <br /> simple title ownership (lack thereof) and that the Ordinance may not <br /> come before the Council until January 23 Regular Meeting for third <br /> and final reading, with the suggested amendment. The Council voted <br /> unanimous approval of the Ordinance. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance <br /> on third and final reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 13 1/2-2 AND 13 1/2-3 <br /> OF CHAPTER 13 1/2 ENTITLED "HEATING AND AIR CONDITION- <br /> ING" OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY AND ADDING <br /> A PARAGRAPH (b) TO SAID SECTION 13 1/2-3 OF SAID CHAPTER <br /> 13 1/2 OF SAID CODE AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Ordinance and Mayor Craddock se- <br /> conded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Brown stated he wan~ <br /> ed the Board to pursue looking at the use of duct work in residences <br /> and report to the Council in the future on their recommendations. Mr. <br /> Kreczmer stated he had reservations on the Council condemning a product <br /> when workmanship was at issue.
