<br /> 129 <br /> Regular Meeting December 29, 1983 Page 7 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br /> WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br /> OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER <br /> 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY ZONING 3.8 ACRES OF LAND AREA <br /> IN THE J. M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. 2 IN SAN MARCOS, <br /> HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED IN THE 1100 BLOCK OF UH- <br /> LAND ROAD EAST, FROM "AO" (AGRICULTURAL-OPEN SPACE <br /> DISTRICT) TO "MH" (MOBILE HOME DISTRICT). <br /> Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Ordinance and Mr. Guerra seconded <br /> the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br /> the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO ALLIED <br /> FENCE COMPANY OF SAN ANTONIO, TEXAS, FOR THE INSTAL- <br /> LATION OF FENCING AT CITY SOFTBALL FIELDS LOCATED <br /> ADJACENT TO GARY JOB CORP ON HIGHWAY 21 IN SAID <br /> CITY; ACCEPTING SAID FENCING FOR USE BY SAID CITY; <br /> AUTHORIZING FINAL PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $14,379.68 <br /> AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mr. Kreczmer moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Brown second- <br /> ed the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to award bid for <br /> a 7-cubic foot air compressor for the Fire Department. Mr. Brown <br /> moved to award the bid to Texas Firefighters and Safety Equipment <br /> Company of New Braunfels in the amount of $5,216.14 and Mr. Kreczmer <br /> seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to authorize bid- <br /> ding of an electronic distance measuring system for the Engineering <br /> Department. Mr. Farr moved to authorize going to bids and Mr. Guerra <br /> seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval for a tax refund <br /> of $770.88 to the San Marcos G. 1. Forum. Mr. Brown moved to approve <br /> the tax refund. Mr. Farr then moved to table approval until further <br /> information could be obtained by Acting City Attorney Charles Chapman. <br /> Mayor Craddock seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote <br /> was recorded: <br /> AYE: Brown, Farr, Craddock, Kreczmer. <br /> NAY: None. <br /> ABSTAIN: Guerra. <br /> (Mr. Guerra abstained because he has two relatives who are members of <br /> the G. 1. Forum). <br /> Mayor Craddock moved the Council adjourn to Executive Session pursuant <br /> to Article 6252-17, §2(e) and §2(g), V.A.C.S., to discuss contemplated <br /> litigation and personnel, respectively, and Mr. Guerra seconded the <br /> motion, which passed unanimously (9:20 p.m.). <br />
