<br /> FOOTNOTES <br /> (1) "Landscape Watering" means the application of water to grow landscaping <br /> plants. <br /> (2) "Landscaping plant" means any member of the kingdom plantae, including any <br /> tree, shrub, vine, herb, flower, succulent, groundcover or grass species, <br /> that grows or has been planted out-of-doors and is used for landscaping <br /> purposes or for the support of intensive recreational areas such as <br /> playgrounds and playing fields. <br /> (3) "New landscaping plant" means a landscaping plant planted during any <br /> current drought stage. When the drought is rescinded, such new <br /> landscaping plant will be treated thereafter as an existing landscaping <br /> plant. <br /> (4) "Hand-held hose" means a hose attended by one person, fitted with a manual <br /> or automatic shutoff nozzle. <br /> (5) "Bucket" means bucket or other container holding five gallons or less, <br /> used singly by one person. <br /> (6) The actual calendar dates shall be designated by the User himself. <br /> (7) "Existing landscaping plant" means a landscaping plant planted during any <br /> period for which a drought stage has not been declared or during a drought <br /> which has been rescinded. <br /> (8) IINew facility" means a swimming pool, hot tub or any similar facility, <br /> including residential, and private facilities, installed during any <br /> current drought stage. When the drought is rescinded, such new facility <br /> will be treated thereafter as an existing facility. This term does not <br /> include pools specifically maintained to provide habitat for aquatic life. <br /> (9) "Existing faciliti' means a swimming pool, hot tub or any similar <br /> facility, including residential and private facilities, installed during <br /> any period for which a drought has not been declared or during a drought <br /> sage which has been rescinded. This term does not include pools <br /> specifically maintained to provide habitat for aquatic life. <br /> (10) "Vegetable garden" means any non-commercial garden planted primarily for <br /> household use. For this use "non-commercial" includes incidental direct <br /> selling of produce from such a vegetable garden to the public. <br /> (11) "Aesthetic use" means the use of water for fountains, waterfalls, and <br /> landscape lakes and ponds where such use is entirely ornamental and serves <br /> no other functional purpose. <br /> -8- <br />
