<br /> FOOTNOTES (CONTINUED) <br /> (12) "Other outside use!1 means the use of water outdoors for the maintenance, <br /> cleaning and washing of structure and mobile equipment, including <br /> automobiles and boats, and the washing of streets, driveways, sidewalks, <br /> patios and other similar areas. <br /> (13) Waste includes, but is not limited to, allowing water to run off into a <br /> gutter, ditch or drain, or failing to repair a controllable leak. <br /> (14) "Impervious surface areall means any structure or any street, driveway, <br /> sidewalk, patio or other surface area covered with brick, paving, tile or <br /> other impervious material. <br /> (15) "Health care facility" means any hospital, clinic, nursing home or other <br /> health care or medical research facility. <br /> (16) "Water utility use II means water used for withdrawal, treatment, <br /> transmission and distribution by potable water systems. <br /> (17) "Power production use" means the use of water for steam generation and the <br /> use of water for cooling and for replenishment of ~ooling reservoirs. <br /> (18) "Agricultural irrigation" means irrigation for the purpose of growing <br /> crops commercially for human consumption or to use as feed for livestock <br /> or poultry. <br /> (19) IIPublic" means municipally owned or operated facilities. <br /> (20) "Livestock use'l means the use of water for drinking by or washing of <br /> 1 ivestock. "Livestock" means cattle, sheep, goats, hogs, poultry, horses, <br /> and game, domestic, exotic and other animals and birds, including zoo <br /> animals, used for commercial or personal purposes. <br /> (21) "Domestic type use II means the use of water, other than uses in the Outdoor <br /> category, for personal needs or for household purposes, such as drinking, <br /> bathing, heating, cooking, sanitation or cleaning, whether the use occurs <br /> in a residence or in a commercial or industrial facility. <br /> (22) IIIndustrial, commercial and other usell means the use of water integral to <br /> the production of primary goods and services provided by industrial or <br /> commercial facilities and water essential to service-related industries <br /> such as recreation and tourism. Industrial facilities include facilities <br /> which perform such process-specific activities as cooling, boiler feed, <br /> cleaning and washing, pollution control, extraction and separation of <br /> desirable material from products and waste materials and the incorporation <br /> of water into final products. Commercial facilities include, but are not <br /> limited to, food service facilities, hotels, retail facilities and nursery <br /> operations. <br /> (23) "Makeup 11 means partial refilling due to evaporative water loss and backwashing. <br /> (24) "R d 11 <br /> euse water means water that has been recycled or reclaimed after it has <br /> been used for any beneficial purpose. <br /> -9- <br />
