<br />I <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br /> <br />ORDER IMPLEMENTING STAGE 2 (AQUIFER WATCH) OF THE INTERIM SAN MARCOS <br />WATER CONSERVATION PLAN BY IMPOSING RESTRICTIONS ON THE USE OF WATER <br />WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS. <br /> <br />The City Manager of the City of San Marcos issues this Order <br />implementing Stage 2 (Aquifer Watch) of the Interim San Marcos Water <br />Conservation Plan pursuant to authority contained in the ordinance <br />adopting an Interim Water Conservation Plan dated July 6, 1990. <br /> <br />This ORDER is based upon the water level in the Bexar County <br />Observation Well (J-17) being 625.0 feet as of July 6, 1990. <br /> <br />IT IS HEREBY ORDERED BY THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />Part 1: That Stage 2 of the Interim San Marcos Water Conservation Plan <br />is hereby declared to be in effect. <br /> <br />Part 2: That it shall be unlawful for any person to violate or cause <br />the violation of any of the following restrictions on the use <br />of water or related activities within the City of San Marcos: <br />(NOTE: Numbers in parentheses refer to footnotes at end of <br />restrictions) <br /> <br /> <br />I. Landscape watering (1) for new landscaping plants (2) ,(3) <br />is prohibited except with reused water. <br /> <br />2. Landscape watering (I) for existing landscaping plants is <br />prohibited except as follows: <br /> <br />(a) Watering with individual sprinklers or sprinkler <br />systems once every seven days (6) between 8:00 p.m. <br />and 8:00 a.m. is permitted; <br /> <br /> <br />(b) Watering with a hand-held hose (4), bucket (5), or <br />drip irrigation system is permitted any day between <br />8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.; and, <br /> <br />(c) Watering with reused water is exempt from <br />restrictions. <br /> <br />3. Filling of new and existing private swimming pools, hot <br />tubs and similar facilities (8), (9) is prohibited, and <br />makeup of existing private swimming pools, hot <br />tubs, and similar facilities (8), (9) is permitted. <br /> <br /> <br />4. Irrigation of vegetable gardens (10) is prohibited except <br />as follows: <br /> <br />(a) Irrigation with individual sprinkers or sprinkler <br />systems once every seven days (6) between 8:00 p.m. <br />and 8:00 a.m. is permitted; and, <br /> <br />(b) Irrigation with hand-held hose (4), bucket (5), or <br />drip irrigation system is permitted any day between <br />8:00 p.m. and R:OO a.m. <br /> <br />5. Irrigation of golf courses is prohibited except as <br />follows: <br /> <br />(a) Irrigation of greens and tees only is permitted once <br />every seven days (6) between 8:00 p.m. and 8:00 a.m.; <br />and, <br /> <br />(b) Irrigation with reused water is exempt from <br />restrictions. <br /> <br />6. Aesthetic use (II) of water inside or outside of buildings <br />is prohibited except with reused water. <br />
