<br /> 77 <br /> Regular Meeting November 28, 1983 Page 8 <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS <br /> OF AN AGREEMENT FOR MUTUAL AID IN FIRE PROTECTION <br /> BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE SOUTH HAYS COUNTY RURAL <br /> FIRE PREVENTION DISTRICT, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AUTH- <br /> ORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAN MARCOS TO EXECUTE SAID <br /> AGREEMENT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Brown seconded <br /> the motion. After much discussion Mr. Brown moved to amend the Agree- <br /> ment to limit the term of agreement to one year (November 28, 1984), <br /> and at that time for the agreement to be reviewed again by the Council. <br /> Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Brown <br /> also directed that Charles Chapman prepare a letter to the South <br /> Hays County Rural Fire Prevention District addressing the City's <br /> concern for the District's enhancement of their equipment needs. <br /> The Council then voted unanimous approval for adoption of the Resolu- <br /> tion. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of Resolution, <br /> the caption which was read as follows: <br /> RESOLUTION DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF INTEN- <br /> TION TO ISSUE CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION. <br /> Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution setting the time and <br /> date for the consideration of the issuance of the certificates of <br /> obligation for 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 1983, and Ms. Kissler <br /> seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br /> the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE MASTER <br /> PLAN SUBMITTED BY THE SESQUICENTENNIAL COORDINATING <br /> COMMITTEE OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, DIRECTING SAID COMMIT- <br /> TEE TO SUBMIT SAID MASTER PLAN TO THE TEXAS SESQUI- <br /> CENTENNIAL COMMISSION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br /> Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mayor Craddock <br /> seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to award bid <br /> and direction for preparation of a Budget Amendment Ordinance for <br /> signalization of Bugg Lane and University. Mayor Craddock moved <br /> for approval to award bid to Ted Breihan Electric Company of San <br /> Marcos, Texas, and that budget amendment be prepared and Ms. Kissler <br /> seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to award bid <br /> and direction for preparation of a Budget Amendment Ordinance for <br /> signalization of Sessoms and Peques. Mr. Guerra moved for approval <br /> to award bid to Ted Breihan Electric Company of San Marcos, Texas, <br /> and that budget amendment be prepared and Mr. Brown seconded the <br /> motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> The funding for the two signalizations will be as follows: Southwest <br /> Texas State University $10,000 (towards Sessoms and peques) , Timbers <br /> Subdivision $10,000 (towards Sessoms and Peques) and the City $42,500, <br /> totaling $62,500. <br />
