77 Regular Meeting November 28, 1983 Page 8 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE TERMS AND CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT FOR MUTUAL AID IN FIRE PROTECTION BETWEEN SAID CITY AND THE SOUTH HAYS COUNTY RURAL FIRE PREVENTION DISTRICT, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, AUTH- ORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAN MARCOS TO EXECUTE SAID AGREEMENT AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Brown seconded the motion. After much discussion Mr. Brown moved to amend the Agree- ment to limit the term of agreement to one year (November 28, 1984), and at that time for the agreement to be reviewed again by the Council. Mr. Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Brown also directed that Charles Chapman prepare a letter to the South Hays County Rural Fire Prevention District addressing the City's concern for the District's enhancement of their equipment needs. The Council then voted unanimous approval for adoption of the Resolu- tion. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: RESOLUTION DIRECTING PUBLICATION OF NOTICE OF INTEN- TION TO ISSUE CERTIFICATES OF OBLIGATION. Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution setting the time and date for the consideration of the issuance of the certificates of obligation for 7:30 p.m. on Monday, December 19, 1983, and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING AND ADOPTING THE MASTER PLAN SUBMITTED BY THE SESQUICENTENNIAL COORDINATING COMMITTEE OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, DIRECTING SAID COMMIT- TEE TO SUBMIT SAID MASTER PLAN TO THE TEXAS SESQUI- CENTENNIAL COMMISSION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mayor Craddock seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to award bid and direction for preparation of a Budget Amendment Ordinance for signalization of Bugg Lane and University. Mayor Craddock moved for approval to award bid to Ted Breihan Electric Company of San Marcos, Texas, and that budget amendment be prepared and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval to award bid and direction for preparation of a Budget Amendment Ordinance for signalization of Sessoms and Peques. Mr. Guerra moved for approval to award bid to Ted Breihan Electric Company of San Marcos, Texas, and that budget amendment be prepared and Mr. Brown seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. The funding for the two signalizations will be as follows: Southwest Texas State University $10,000 (towards Sessoms and peques) , Timbers Subdivision $10,000 (towards Sessoms and Peques) and the City $42,500, totaling $62,500.
