<br /> B. SERVICES TO BE PERFORMED <br /> (1) The County shall collect the current ad valorem property taxes owing to the <br />City. The County shall also collect, including the enforcement of the collection of, the <br />delinquent taxes owing to the City as hereinafter provided in this Agreement. The <br />County further agrees to perform for the City all the duties relating to the assessment <br />and collection of taxes for the City provided by the laws of the State of Texas for the <br />collection of said taxes. <br /> (2) The County shall perform all the functions set out in the Definitions section of <br />this Agreement. Specifically, the County agrees to prepare consolidated tax statements for <br />each taxpayer. The tax statement shall include taxes owed to all taxing units to which <br />the taxpayer owes taxes, except those units which have not contracted with the County <br />for the assessment and collection of their taxes. The County shall mail said tax <br />statements to each taxpayer or authorized agent on property within the City. <br /> (3) The City hereby designates the Tax Assessor-Collector of the County of Hays as <br />its tax assessor and tax collector for all purposes under the City Charter and the Texas <br />Property Tax Code. <br /> (4) The County shall provide the governing body of the City with a copy of the tax <br />roll each year that this Agreement is in effect. <br /> C. PAYMENT <br />Amount of Payment <br /> <br /> The City agrees to pay the County the cost of performing the services specified in <br />the subject Agreement. In this regard, it is agreed that the City shall pay $1.25 per <br />parcel annually for all parcels on the City's tax roll that are loca ted in Hays <br />County and $4.28 annually per parcel for all parcels on the City's tax roll that are located <br />outside of Hays County for assessment and collection services. <br />Method of Pavment <br /> <br /> The County shall withhold from the remittances to the City the amount of payment <br />mentioned in the paragraph above. <br />
