All work under this specification is subject to the <br /> applicable Items of the Texas State Department of Highways and <br /> Public Transportation "Standard Specifications for Construction of <br /> Highways, Streets, and Bridges," 1982. <br /> 5-02 SCOPE: <br /> a. This specification shall consist of constructing the <br /> Portland Cement concrete items listed below with reinforcing steel, <br /> subgrade preparation, and finish to the lines, grades and details <br /> as shown on the plans and/or as directed by the Engineer. <br /> (1) Sidewalk <br /> (2) Curb and Gutter <br /> (3) Valley Gutter <br /> (4) Picnic Table Slabs <br /> (5) Driveway <br /> (6) Misc. Post Footings <br /> 5-03 MATERIALS: <br /> a. Concrete shall be Class C in accordance with Specification <br /> 4, Concrete Work - General, of these specifications. Concrete for <br /> post footings only shall be Class B in accordance with <br /> Specification 4, Concrete Work - General, of these specifications. <br /> b. Subgrade preparation shall be in accordance with <br /> Specification 2, Earthwork, and Specification 3, Excavation for <br /> Structures. <br /> c. Reinforcing steel shall be in accordance with the <br /> Specification 4, Concrete Work - General, of these specifications. <br /> d. Expansion joint material shall be preformed bituminous <br /> fiber material pre-cut to the dimensions shown on the plans and to <br /> suit the Concrete Section. Material shall conform to the pertinent <br /> requirements of Texas SDHPT Standard Specifications Item 420.2 <br /> (paragraph 420.2 (2) for Preformed Bituminous or Non-Bituminous <br /> Fiber Material. <br /> 5-1 <br />
