<br /> 105 <br /> RAMON LUCIO, RIO VISTA, RIO VISTA ANNEX, AND BICENTENNIAL <br /> PARKS RECREATION DEVELOPMENT <br /> TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 5 <br /> CONCRETE SLABS, CURB AND GUTTER, AND MISCELLANEOUS CONCRETE <br /> (7) The finished sidewalk shall be cured by use of one <br /> or more of the methods given in paragraph 420.21 (Curing Concrete) <br /> of Item 420 of the Texas SDHPT Standard Specifications. <br /> (8) Standard Finish - hair broomed to uniform, gritty <br /> surface. <br /> c. Curb and Gutter: <br /> (1) General: This item shall consist of the construction <br /> of concrete curb and gutter at the locations shown on the drawings. <br /> All work shall be in accordance with details shown on the <br /> drawings and with these specifications. <br /> (2) porms of wood or steel shall be used along each edge <br /> of curb and gutter, unless other methods of construction are <br /> allowed by Engineer. These forms shall be set true to the line and <br /> grade given by the drawing profiles or as directed by Engineer, and <br /> shall be held rigid in place by stakes, placed outside the form and <br /> flush with the top edge of the forms. <br /> (3) Materials and work shall be in accordance with the <br /> pertinent requirements of Specification 4. Concrete shall be Class <br /> C. <br /> ( 4) Curb and Gutter shall be constructed in sections of <br /> the length shown on . the plans. Expansion' joints (premoided <br /> expansion joint material) shall be placed between different <br /> sections, at radius point of curvature and points of tangency, and <br /> at intervals, in long runs, not to exceed 30 feet in length. <br /> Expansion joints shall be placed at right angles to the formed <br /> sides. <br /> (5) Reinforcing steel, as required by drawings, shall be <br /> placed in accordance with the requirements of the drawings, and <br /> kept in place by chairs, concrete blocks, or any other method <br /> acceptable to the Engineer. <br /> (6) Concrete shall be mixed and delivered in accordance <br /> with Item 421.11 of the Texas SDHPT Standard Specifications, placed <br /> 5-4 <br />
