109 RAMON LUCIO, RIO VISTA, RIO VISTA ANNEX, AND BICENTENNIAL PARKS RECREATION DEVELOPMENT TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 5 CONCRETE SLABS, CURB AND GUTTER, AND HI SCELLANEOUS CONCRETE 5-06 MEASUREMENT AND PAYMENT: a. CONCRETE SIDEWALK will be measured for payment by the square foot. b. CONCRETE CURB AND GUTTER will be measured for payment by the lineal foot. Each continuous section of curb and gutter will be measured along the back edge of the curb; measurements shall include the space occupied by expansion joints. c. CONCRETE VALLEY GUTTER will be measured for payment by the square foot~ d. CONCRETE PICNIC TABLE SLABS will each be paid for by the completed unit. e. CONCRETE DRIVEWAY will be measured for payment by the square foot. f. Post Footings will not be measured for separate payment but will be considered subsidiary work pertaining to the contract item. g. Excavation, Subgrade Preparation, Sand Bedding, Forming, Reinforcing Steel, Dowels, Ties, Expansion Joints, and Finishing shall not be measured fo:1; payment but will be subsidiary work pertaining to the several bid items. h. CONCRETE SIDEWALK, acceptably completed and measured as provided above, will be paid for at the contract unit price per square foot bid for CONCRETE SIDEWALK, which price shall be full compensation for furnishing all materials including expansion joint material and reinforcing steel, tie bars; for all excavating, fine grading, and backfilling; for placing, finishing, and curing; and for all equipment, tools, labor, and incidentals necessary to complete the work. i. CONCRETE CURB AND GU'l'TER, acceptably completed and measured as provided above, will be paid for at the contract unit price per linear foot bid for CONCRETE CURB AND GO~ER, which price shall be full compensation for furnishing all materials including expansion joint material and reinforcing steel, tie bars; for all 5-8
