Samples of proposed select fill shall be furnished to <br /> the testing laboratory a minimum of seven days prior to <br /> installation to permit time for specification compliance inspection <br /> and approval. <br /> (2) Excavated material approved for use as backfill shall <br /> be free of stones larger than 2 inches in the longest dimension, <br /> roots and organic material. <br /> (3) Ut.11itiesl Coordinate concrete work with the <br /> electrical or other trades whose work must be installed in or below <br /> concrete slabs or through beams or slabs. Furnish necessary grades <br /> and d~naions as required for proper installation of all pipe and <br /> conduit. <br /> c. Excavation, Filling and Backfilling: <br /> (1) Excavations shall extend a sufficient distance from <br /> the walls and footings to allow for the placement and removal of <br /> forms. Where excavation is to lower levels or greater depths than <br /> required for foundation,construction shown, or where unsatisfactory <br /> material is removed, the excess material shall be replaced with <br /> 8-2 <br />
