<br /> 120 <br /> RAMON LUCIO, RIO VISTA, RIO VISTA ANNEX, AND BICENTENNIAL <br /> PARKS RECREATION DEVELOPMENT <br /> TECHNICAL SPECIFICATION 8 <br /> GROUP SHELTER <br /> 8-01 SCOPE: <br /> a. This specification shall include all labor, furnishing all <br /> materials, equipment and services necessary for and reasonably <br /> incidental to the proper completion of the Group Shelter, including <br /> but not limited to all excavation work, backfilling, compacting, <br /> concrete work, woodwork, metal work, electrical, painting, and <br /> roofing all as called for on the drawings and included in the <br /> specifications and/or as required for a complete and usable <br /> facility. <br /> b. The Contractor shall personally inspect the site of the <br /> proposed work to become familiar with all conditions under which <br /> the work is to be done. <br /> 8-02 STAKING OUT AND UTILITIES: <br /> a. The Contractor shall be entirely responsible for the <br /> correct staking out of the buildings. He/she shall establish a <br /> permanent benchmark near the building sites and shall run several <br /> axis lines locating the work, establish correct datum levels, and <br /> shall erect in a workmanlike and substantial manner all necessary <br /> stakes, batterboards and so forth. Before proceeding with the work <br /> he/she shall verify all lines with the Engineer or his authorized <br /> representative. <br /> b. The Contractor shall be responsible for connecting the <br /> electrical services to the building. All interior electrical work <br /> up to and including the underground junction box shall be paid <br /> under the Group Shel ter bid i tam. The conductor and conduit <br /> bringing electrical power from source to underground junction box <br /> shall be paid for under the appropriate exterior electrical system <br /> bid item. <br /> 8-03 EARTHWORK: <br /> a. General: This section includes, but is not limited to, <br /> Excavating, Filling, Backfilling, Grading, and other related items <br /> necessary to complete project as indicated by the documents unless <br /> specifically excluded. See Specification 3 of these specifications. <br /> 8-1 <br />
