<br /> 1.4 Product Enhancements <br /> 1.4.0 Itron product Enhancements requested by <br /> customer will be made availaqle to the <br /> customer on a time and material basis plus <br /> expenses. <br /> 1. 4.1 Itron wi~l reasonably provide, at no charge, <br /> Itron-initiated product enhancements that <br /> improve product reliability. <br /> 1.5 Documentation <br /> 1.5.0 Itron provides the customer with written <br /> response as to the nature of the correction <br /> for each piece of equipment sent to an Itron <br /> Depot Service Center for Repairs. <br /> 1.6 Hardware Maintenance Anniversary Dates <br /> All units within a given delivery lot (i.e. units shipped <br /> and received by the Utility as part of a single shipment) <br /> will be given the same anniversary renewal date, regardless <br /> of when they are put into use. This date will be one year <br /> from the date that the first units of the shipment were <br /> placed on the Agreement following the warranty period. <br /> Software Maintenance <br /> 1. Itron will provide Software maintenance at Spokane, <br /> Washington. <br /> 2. Normal maintenance for Itron software is accomplished <br /> through the transportation of media to the Customer site, <br /> including installation instructions and required <br /> documentation. Phone consultations are also provided by <br /> the Hotline Service to ensure proper installation. <br /> Maintenance will be performed and forwarded to the Customer <br /> in a timely manner so as to ensure continued system <br /> operation. <br /> 3. Itron will provide on-site maintenance at no extra charge <br /> when the defective Itron software is preventing daily <br /> operation and when other methods of correcting the defect <br /> are unsuccessful. <br /> 4. Itron reserves the right to charge for maintenance and <br /> travel expenses when software failure is caused by <br /> accident, neglect, abuse, transportation, or software <br /> modifications performed by persons other than Itron (see <br /> Schedule B). <br /> 9 <br />
