<br />29 <br /> <br />RESOLUTION 1989-5R <br /> <br />A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />C rry OF SAN MARCOS APPROVING THE TERMS <br />AND CONDITIONS OF AN AGREEMENT WITH THE <br />GREATER SAN MARCOS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE <br />AND THE GREATER SAN MARCOS ECONOMIC <br />DEVELOPMENT COUNCIL RELATING TO AN <br />ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM, AUTHORIZING <br />THE MAYOR TO EXECUTE SAID CONTRACT, AND <br />DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Greater San Marcos Chamber of Commerce and the <br />Greater San Marcos Economic Development Council have consolidated <br />their respective economic programs; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the Greater San Marcos Chamber of Commerce has <br />accepted responsibility for the administration of said Economic <br />Development Program; and, <br /> <br />WHEREAS, the City of San Marcos desires to enter into a <br />contract with the Greater San Marcos Economic Development Council <br />and the San Marcos Chamber of Commerce in order to promote orderly <br />and responsible economic development for the San Marcos geographic <br />area; now, therefore, <br /> <br />BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />PART 1. That the terms and conditions of an agreement <br />between City of San Marcos, Texas, the Greater San Marcos Chamber <br />of Commerce and the Greater San Marcos Economic Development <br />Council, relating to an economic development program, a copy of <br />said agreement being attached hereto and made a part hereof, are <br />hereby approved. <br /> <br />PART 2. That the Mayor of the City of San Marcos, Kathy M. <br />Morris, is authorized to execute said agreement on behalf of said <br />City. <br /> <br />PART 4. That this Resolution shall be in <br />effect immediately from and after its passage. <br /> <br />full <br /> <br />force and <br /> <br />ADOPTED this the <br /> <br />23 day of <br /> <br />January <br /> <br />, 1989. <br /> <br /> <br />.
