<br /> -2- <br /> HHEREAS, said City Council held a public hearing on March 13, <br />1989, regarding said amendments; and, <br /> WHEREAS, said City Council hereby finds and determines that the <br />adoption of the following amendments are in the interest of the public <br />health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That Appendix A-General Zoning Ordinance, Section 4, <br />" De fin it i on s ," be amended by the addition of a definition for "Bed <br />and Breakfast Inn, " as follows in proper alphabetical sequence and <br />subsequent definitions be renumbered in proper sequential order: <br /> Sec. 4. Definitions. <br /> Bed and breakfast inn: A facility offering transient lodging <br /> accommodations to the general public which is typically smaller <br /> than a hotel or motel, is in a historical or otherwise <br /> architecturally unique building that is also the permanent <br /> residence of the proprietor, and where breakfast is included in <br /> the rates charged to guests. <br /> PART 2. That Appendix A-General Zoning Ordinance, Section 4, <br />"Definitions," be amended to read as follows in proper alphabetical <br />sequence and subsequent definitions be renumbered in proper <br />sequential order: <br /> Sec. 4. Definitions. <br /> Home Occupation: An activity requiring a Specific Use <br /> Permit which is carried out for gain by a resident, and <br /> is conducted as an accessory use in the resident's <br /> dwelling units. See Section 35(1) for exceptions to Specific <br /> Use Permit requirement for certain home businesses. <br /> PART 3. That Appendix A-General Zoning Ordinance, Section 5(B) be <br />amended to read as follows: <br /> Sec. 5.
