1.1.3 The Engineer shall review with the Owner alternative approaches to design and construction of the Project. 1.1.4 Based on the mutually agreed upon program and Project budget requirements, the Engineer shall prepare, for review by the Owner, Schematic Design Documents consisting of drawings and other documents illustrating the scale and relationship of Project components. 1.1.5 The Engineer shall submit to the Owner a detailed cost estimate based on current area, volume or other unit costs. 1.2 DESIGN DEVELOPIŒIn' PHASE 1.2.1 Based on the Schematic Design Documents and any adjustments authorized by the Owner in the program or Project budget, the Engineer shall prepare, for review and app~oval by the Owner, Design Development Documents consisting of drawings and other documents to fix and describe the size and character of the entire Project as to architectural, structural, mechanical and electrical systems, materials, and such other elements as may be appropriate. 1.2.2 The Engineer shall submit to the Owner another detailed cost estimate. 1.3 SURVEYING PHASE 1.3.1 Engineer shall provide all necessary easement surveying services and provide Owner with original field note descriptions of same. 1.3.2 Engineer shall provide all topographic surveying services necessary for the completion of the project. 1.3.3 Engineer shall provide all necessary construction surveying, manhole staking and cut sheet only. 1. 3.4 All surveying services provided pursuant to this Agreement shall be performed under the direction and supervision of a public surveyor registered under the laws of the State of Texas. All field note descriptions provided pursuant to this Agreement shall be sealed by registered public surveyor. 1.4 COHSTRUC'rIOH DOCOIŒIftS PHASE 1.4.1. Based on the Design Development Documents and any further adjustments in the scope or quality of the Project(s) or in the Project(s) budget authorized by the Owner, the Engineer shall prepare -2-
