2.8 The Owner shall bear all costs incident to this Article. 2.9 Owner shall provide the Engineer with the accounting basis for billing acceptable to the Owner. ARTICLE 3 REDmURSA RT .R EXPOSES 3.1 If reimbursable expenses are to be paid as a part of this Agreement as set forth in Article 13, such expenses are in addition to the Compensation for Basic and Additional Services and include certain actual expenditures made by the Engineer and the Engineer's employees and consultants in the interest of the Project for the expenses listed in the following Subparagraph: 3.1.1 Long-distance telephone calls, printing, stakes, mileage, supplies, prints, total station survey equipment, computer graphics. ARTICLE 4 PAYllEftS "lO TIlE ENGIDER 4.1 PAYJIERrS ON ACCOUN'l' OF BASIC SERVICES 4.1.1 Payments for Bas ic Services shall be made to Engineer following receipt by Owner of Engineer's invoice therefor and shall be paid only upon completion of each of the Basic Services as set forth in Article 13, less any disputed amounts, pending resolution thereof. 5.2 PAYlŒR'.rS ON ACCOUNT OF ADDITIONAL SERVICES 5.2.1 Payments on account of the Engineer's Additional Services as defined in Paragraph 1.6 and for Reimbursable Expenses as defined in Article 4 shall be made monthly upon presentation of the Engineer's statement of services rendered or expenses incurred, less any disputed amounts, pending resolution thereof. However, the total amount paid on account of the Engineer's Additional Services shall not exceed $5,000.00 without prior approval of the City Council of the City of San Marcos, Texas. ARTICLE 6 ENGIIŒER I S ACCOUlft'ING RECORDS 6.1 All expense records of Engineer shall be kept on a recognized accounting basis acceptable to the Owner and shall be available to the available to the Owner or the Owner's authorized representative at mutually convenient times. -6-
