<br />29 <br />Regular Meeting January 23, 1984 Page 6 <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolu- <br />tion, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, REQUESTING THE STATE HIGHWAY AND PUB- <br /> LIC TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO CONDUCT A FEASIBI- <br /> LITY STUDY FOR ALTERNATIVE HIGHWAY ROUTES BETWEEN <br /> AUSTIN AND SAN ANTONIO, INCLUDING EXPANSION OF INTER- <br /> STATE HIGHWAY 35; DIRECTING TfffiT COPIES OF THIS RESO- <br /> LUTION BE FORWARDED TO THE STATE HIGHWAY AND PUBLIC <br /> TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE <br /> DATE. <br />Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Guerra second- <br />ed the motion. Mr. Moore expressed concern that this Resolution would <br />serve to benefit Austin and San Antonio and not the cities in between. <br />Mayor Craddock moved to amend the Resolution from "highway routes" <br />to "alternate transportation routes, including mass transit", and <br />Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. On roll <br />call for the adoption of the Resolution, the following vote was record- <br />ed: <br /> AYE: Brown, Farr, Guerra, Craddock, Kissler. <br /> NAY: Moore. <br /> ABSTAIN: None. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, <br />the caption which was read as follows: <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCO S, TEXAS, REQUESTING THE TEXAS TURNPIKE AUTHOR- <br /> ITY TO FUND A PRELIMINARY FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR A <br /> REVENUE-BASED TOLL ROAD FACILITY BETWEEN AUSTIN AND <br /> SAN ANTONIO; DIRECTING THAT COPIES OF THIS RESOLUTION <br /> BE FORWARDED TO THE TEXAS TURNPIKE AUTHORITY AND DE- <br /> CLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Farr seconded <br />the motion. AND ACTION UTILITY CO., INC., <br /> FOR CONSTRUCTION OF DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE <br /> MILL STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT IN SAID CITY; <br /> ACCEPTING SAID IMPROVEMENTS FOR USE BY SAID CITY; AUTH- <br /> ORIZING FINAL PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $21,680.49 AND <br /> DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br />
