29 Regular Meeting January 23, 1984 Page 6 Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolu- tion, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, REQUESTING THE STATE HIGHWAY AND PUB- LIC TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION TO CONDUCT A FEASIBI- LITY STUDY FOR ALTERNATIVE HIGHWAY ROUTES BETWEEN AUSTIN AND SAN ANTONIO, INCLUDING EXPANSION OF INTER- STATE HIGHWAY 35; DIRECTING TfffiT COPIES OF THIS RESO- LUTION BE FORWARDED TO THE STATE HIGHWAY AND PUBLIC TRANSPORTATION COMMISSION AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Farr moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Guerra second- ed the motion. Mr. Moore expressed concern that this Resolution would serve to benefit Austin and San Antonio and not the cities in between. Mayor Craddock moved to amend the Resolution from "highway routes" to "alternate transportation routes, including mass transit", and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. On roll call for the adoption of the Resolution, the following vote was record- ed: AYE: Brown, Farr, Guerra, Craddock, Kissler. NAY: Moore. ABSTAIN: None. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCO S, TEXAS, REQUESTING THE TEXAS TURNPIKE AUTHOR- ITY TO FUND A PRELIMINARY FEASIBILITY REPORT FOR A REVENUE-BASED TOLL ROAD FACILITY BETWEEN AUSTIN AND SAN ANTONIO; DIRECTING THAT COPIES OF THIS RESOLUTION BE FORWARDED TO THE TEXAS TURNPIKE AUTHORITY AND DE- CLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. Mr. Guerra moved for adoption of the Resolution and Mr. Farr seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Guerra, Craddock, Kissler. NAY: Moore. ABSTAIN: 1'1one. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration adoption of a Resolution, the caption which was read as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCO S, TEXAS, APPROVING FINAL PAYMENT TO DU MOR EN- TERPRISES, A PARTNERSHIP CONSISTING OF DU MOR DRIL- LING & BLASTING, INC. AND ACTION UTILITY CO., INC., FOR CONSTRUCTION OF DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS FOR THE MILL STREET DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT IN SAID CITY; ACCEPTING SAID IMPROVEMENTS FOR USE BY SAID CITY; AUTH- ORIZING FINAL PAYMENT IN THE AMOUNT OF $21,680.49 AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
