<br /> 4. Number of undergraduate and graduate students <br /> involved in river monitoring projects <br /> The University shall provide a copy of this assessment and <br /> evaluation to the Director of the City Parks and Recreation <br /> Department. <br /> 4. The University shall engage a Steward and such student <br /> workers as it determines necessary to provide stewardship and <br /> maintenance services. The Steward shall coordinate University and <br /> community activities hereunder, supervise student and work-study <br /> employees, and conduct educational programs. <br /> 5. The City shall pay University the sum of Forty-Thousand <br /> Dollars and No/100 ($40,000.00) upon the University's performance <br /> of services in accordance with the terms of this Agreement, <br /> payable on last day of each month during the term of this <br /> Agreement as follows: $3,000.00 at the end of the first month; <br /> $2,000.00 per month at the end of the second through twelfth <br /> months; and $1,250.00 per month at the end of the thirteenth <br /> through twenty-fourth months. <br /> 6. The University will be responsible for obtaining and <br /> complying with any permits required under applicable federal or <br /> state law pertaining to the stewardship program, and for complying <br /> with applicable federal or state laws pertaining to this program. <br /> 7. This Agreement shall commence on the date of this <br /> Agreement and shall continue for a two-year period. At any time <br /> during the term of this Agreement, either party may cancel this <br /> Agreement by giving the other written notice of cancellation <br /> thirty (30) days prior to the effective date of cancellation, and <br /> -3- <br />
