<br /> -3- <br /> L. Evaluate the proposed wastewater pretreatment system for its <br /> ability to adequately remove pollutants from the wastewater <br /> prior to discharge. Estimate the quantity and character of <br /> the wastewater. <br /> M. Review proposed emergency and spill contingency plans. <br /> N. Prepare appropriate reports. <br /> COST = $1,500.00 ($750.00 x 2 Prospects) <br /> NEW INDUSTRIAL WASTEWATER GENERATOR SETUP <br /> The Consultant will: <br /> o. Send out a questionnaire to each new industry covered <br /> under the Industrial Waste ordinance in the form attached <br /> hereto as Exhibit A. <br /> P. Evaluate the information supplied on the questionnaires and <br /> cross-reference it against information supplied to the Texas <br /> Water Commission. <br /> Q. Conduct an inspection of all new industries. The inspection <br /> will consist of a "walk through". Consultant will evaluate <br /> the processes of each industry and will ascertain the <br /> disposition of all wastes to insure that no unauthorized <br /> wastes are being dispensed into the sewer system. Consultant <br /> will review each facility's operating and emergency spill <br /> contingency plans for adequacy. <br /> R. Arrange for samplings to be made during the normal operation <br /> of each facility and an analytical plan will be derived which <br /> will adequately cover the potential pollutants which would be <br /> in their discharge. The Consultant will take a time and/or <br /> flow composite of each facility in accordance with the <br /> Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and City of San Marcos <br /> regulations. The Consultant will deliver properly preserved <br /> samples maintaining Chain of Custody to a laboratory <br /> designated by the City. <br /> S. Submit an inspection and evaluation report to the City. <br /> COST=$3,000.00 ($1500.00 per Industrial Waste Generator x 2 <br /> New HvG's) <br /> CITY COUNCIL TECHNICAL SUPPORT <br /> The Consultant will: <br /> T. Provide a company representative to answer any questions <br /> that the Council may have pertinent to this project and <br /> concerning the environmental impact of any new industry. <br /> Address the adequacy of existing or proposed City <br /> capabilities at handling the industrial wastes and <br />
