<br /> DISSEIIIHATIOH OF AFFIlUIATIVE A~IOR POLICY <br /> INTERNALLY <br /> Managers and supervisors will be fully informed of the City's <br /> policy: <br /> 1. Copies of the policy will be distributed to Directors, <br /> Managers and Supervisors. They are requested to make <br /> all individuals involved in personnel decisions aware of <br /> this policy and its implementation. <br /> 2. The Affirmative Action Program and Policy will be <br /> included in the Personnel Policy Manual. <br /> 3. Training programs will be held to explain the <br /> Affirmative Action Policy and responsibilities and <br /> duties in implementation. <br /> 4. Special meetings will be held with Directors, Managers <br /> and Supervisors to review progress. <br /> Non-supervisory staff will be informed of the City's policy via: <br /> 1. Posting the City's Affirmative Action Statement on <br /> departmental bulletin boards and in the Human <br /> Resouces Department. <br /> 2. Affirmative Action Policy will be included in the <br /> Personnel Policies. <br /> 3. The Affirmative Action Program and Policy will be <br /> presented and discussed as part of the employee <br /> orientation and training programs. <br /> EXTERNALLY <br /> 1. All recruiting sources will be informed of the City's <br /> policy. <br /> 2. Educational institutions, community groups, and others <br /> who refer applicants will be informed of the City's <br /> policy. <br /> 3. Special attention will be given during the preparation <br /> of handbooks, brochures, pictures, etc, to include <br /> information about protected classes. <br />
