<br />Mayor Younger called the meeting to order at 7:00 p.m.
<br />
<br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of appointments
<br />to the Electric Utility Board. Mr. Brown placed in nomination the
<br />names of Jack Cates, Austin Curlee, James Crawford, Augustin Lucio,
<br />Milton Vaverek, Mary Borm, Jerry Moore, Celia Morgan, Ted Breihan,
<br />R. G. Phillips, Ruben Ruiz, Sr. and Noble Haden, and Ms. Kissler se-
<br />conded the motion. On roll call each Council Member could select four
<br />names and voted as follows:

<br />Mayor Younger introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance
<br />on second reading, the caption which was read as follows:
<br />
<br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN
<br />MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING SECTION 2-31 OF THE SAN MAR-
<br />COS CODE OF ORDINANCES BY ADDING ONE POLICE OFFICER
<br />TO ACCO~rnODATE EXPANSION OF THE CRIME PREVENTION GRANT
<br />AND TWO FIREFIGHTERS AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br />
<br />Mr. Farr moved for approval of the Ordinance on second reading and
<br />Ms. Kissler seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote
<br />was recorded:
