Mayor Narvaiz called the meeting to order at 6:00 p.m. Mayor Narvaiz lead the Pledge of Allegiance. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration a public hearing on a proposal to increase total tax revenues from properties on the tax roll in the preceding tax year by five percent; and direction to staff. Mayor Narvaiz opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished to speak. No one did, so Mayor Narvaiz closed the public hearing. Mayor Narvaiz stated tonight was the second of two public hearings. She stated the Council will vote on I the proposed rate on Monday, September II, 2006 at 6:00 p.m. in the City Council Chambers. * Mr. Mihalkanin and Mr. Diaz were not present at this meeting
