I MINUTES OF THE SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, DECEMBER 11, 2006 PRESENT: Mayor Mayor Pro-Tern Deputy Mayor Pro-Tern Council Members Susan Narvaiz Daniel Guerrero Gaylord Bose John Thomaides Pam Couch Betsy Robertson Chris Jones City Manager Interim City Attorney Interim City Clerk Director of Administration Director of Planning and Development Dan O'Leary Andy Quittner Shelley Goodwin Collette Jamison Carol Barrett Also present: Ryan Thomason, Stephanie Garcia, Melissa Millecam, Kelly Franks and Cynthia Knox. Mayor Narvaiz called the meeting to order at 5:00 p.m. I Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of four appointments to the Airport Commission. Mr. Guerrero moved to reappoint Chuck Nash, Mr. Guerrero moved to reappoint A. Wayne Tudor, Ms. Robertson moved to reappoint Dan Gibson and Ms. Couch moved to reappoint Richard Skiles, which passed unanimously. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of three appointments to the Animal Shelter Advisory Board. Mr. Guerrero moved to reappoint Dr. Jeff Jorgensen as the veterinarian and Mr. Guerrero moved to appoint Richard Salmon as the Hays County representative, which passed unanimously. The remaining appointment will be rescheduled. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of four appointments to the Arts Commission. Ms. Robertson moved to reappoint Richard DeLeon, Mr. Guerrero moved to appoint Eva Carmena Doty, Mayor Narvaiz moved to appoint Carol Garcia and Ms. Couch moved to appoint Valerie Short, which passed unanimously. Mayor Narvaiz introduced for consideration approval of three appointments to the Beautification Commission. Mr. Guerrero moved to reappoint Alex Demetriadis, Mayor Narvaiz moved to reappoint Tina Cade and Ms. Robertson moved to appoint Camille Phillips, which passed unanimously.
