Call To Order <br />With a quorum present, the regular meeting of the San Marcos City Council was called to order <br />by Mayor Daniel Guerrero at 5:05 p.m. on Monday, October 21, 2014 in the City Council <br />Chambers, 630 East Hopkins, San Marcos, Texas 78666. <br />II. Roll Call <br />Council Member Thomason arrived after roll call at approximately 5:08 p.m. Council Member <br />Prather arrived after roll call at approximately 5:28 p.m. <br />Present: 7 - Mayor Daniel Guerrero, Mayor Pro -Tem John Thomaides, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern <br />Wayne Becak, Council Member Ryan Thomason, Council Member Shane Scott, <br />Council Member Jude Prather and Council Member Lisa Prewitt <br />- XECUTIVE SESSION <br />1. 5:OOPM <br />Executive Session in accordance with Section § 551.087 of the Texas Government <br />Code: Economic Development - receive a briefing from Greater San Marcos <br />Partnership President Adriana Cruz and deliberate regarding the potential offer of <br />Economic Development Incentives to Project IQ and Project Orange; and in <br />accordance with Section §551.072 of the Texas Government Code: Real Property - to <br />receive an update regarding City real estate comprised of three tracts of land known <br />as the "Leah Tract," comprised of a 1.378 acre tract out of the J.M. Veramendi Survey <br />No. 1, Abstract No. 17, a 25.05 acre tract, being Lot 1 of the Cottonwood Parkway <br />Addition and a 1.36 acre tract, being Lot 10A of the Municipal Airport Subdivision. <br />A motion was made by Council Member Scott, seconded by Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Becak, to <br />convene in Executive Session at approximately 5:07 p.m. The motion carried by the following <br />vote: <br />For: 5 - Mayor Guerrero, Mayor Pro -Tem Thomaides, Deputy Mayor Pro Tern Becak, <br />Council Member Scott and Council Member Prewitt <br />Against: 0 <br />Absent: 2 - Council Member Thomason and Council Member Prather <br />2. Consider adoption or direction to Staff on matters discussed in Executive Session. <br />The Council reconvened into regular session at approximately 6:17 p.m. The Council provided <br />direction for future items to be brought back for action at a future meeting. <br />City of San Marcos Page 1 <br />
