Rutledge, <br />John Morrissett, Jane Wilson, Nina Pryatel, Ralph Gonzales, Bobby <br />Whiteside, Jack Brotze, Hannelore Brotze and others. <br />Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 7:32 p.m. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes <br />of the Regular Meeting held October 29, 1981. Mrs. Norris moved to <br />approve the minutes and Mr. Kreczmer seconded the motion, which passed <br />unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of a nomination <br />to complete the unexpired term on the Library Board of Kay Pinkerton <br />Love that expires in October, 1982. Mr. Kreczmer nominated Mamie <br />Smith to complete the unexpired term on the Library Board and Mrs. <br />Mendez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mayor Craddock opened a public hearing regarding a change of zoning <br />request on Lot 6, Block 2 of the C. L. McGehee Addition, also known <br />as 617 Burleson, requested by S. E. Rutledge. Mr. Rutledge spoke <br />in favor of the zoning request change, stating he wanted to build <br />approximately three townhomes on the property. Mr. Jack Lindstrom <br />who resides at 1125 Burleson, indicated he did not want the zoning <br />on this property changed, because it would create more traffic and <br />was opposed to anything other than single-family zoning. Mr. Joe <br />Garza advised the Council off-street parking was required (2 cars <br />per lot, 3 lots maximum for this property). No one else wished to <br />speak in favor or against the zoning request, so Mayor Craddock closed <br />the public hearing. The Zoning Ordinance was then considered by Coun- <br />cil on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE <br />WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE <br />OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER <br />29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY ZONING LOT NO. SIX (6) IN <br />BLOCK NO. TWO (2) OF THE C. L. McGEHEE ADDITION, <br />A/K/A 617 BURLESON STREET, FROM "R-1" (SINGLE- <br />FAMILY DWELLING DISTRICT) TO "TH" (TOWNHOUSE RESI- <br />DENTIAL DISTRICT). <br />Mr. James moved to approve the Ordinance on first reading and Mrs. <br />Mendez seconded the motion. On roll call the following vote was <br />recorded: <br />AYE: James, Craddock, Kreczmer, Mendez and Norris. <br />NAY: Brown. <br />ABSTAIN: None. <br />* Mr. Cavazos was not present at this meeting.
