26 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, MARCH 22, 1993 PRESENT: Mayor Kathy M. Morris Mayor Pro-Tem Betty Jane Kissler Council Members Billy G. Ron Patterson Director of Public Works George Boeker Director of Env. and Engineering Steve Jenkins Director of WIC Eddie Ortega Director of SMEU Bob Higgs Director of Parks and Recreation Rodney Cobb Fire Chief Dan Ó'Leary Acting Police Chief Dan Nelson Director of Finance Bill White Director of Health Terry Ewald Also Present: Kim Bradley, Melissa Millecam, Collette Duran, Collete Davis, Dan Scales, Lisa Coppoletta, Joe Cox, Kelly Franks and others. Mayor Morris called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to complete a vacancy on the Zoning Board of Adjustments and Appeals. Mr. Moore moved to appoint Rev. Herman Foster and Mayor Morris moved to appoint Bill Henry. On roll call the following vote was recorded: FOSTER: Moore, Hernandez. HENRY: Hart, Morris, Kissler. Neither nominee received a majority vote of at least four, so the Council directed the appointment be rescheduled at the next meeting. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of one appointment to complete a vacancy on the Zoning Commission. Mr. Moore moved to appoint Joe Castillo and Mayor Morris moved to appoint Lorine Burleson. On roll call the following vote was recorded: CASTILLO: Moore, Hart. BURLESON: Hernandez, Morris, Kissler. Neither nominee received a majority vote of at least four, so the Council directed the appointment be rescheduled at the next meeting. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration approval of Judge Eddy Etheredge's designee to the Main Street Advisory Board, Johnnie Armstead. Mr. Hernandez moved for approval and Ms. Kissler seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mayor Morris introduced for consideration adoption of an Ordinance on emergency, the caption which was read as follows: * Mr. Plummer and Mr. Gilley not present at this meeting. ** Mr. Guerra present at 7:52 p.m.
