Womack <br />Barbara Jean Edwards <br />Earl Williams <br />Charles Stone <br />Joe Garza <br /> <br />Also Present: Henry Kyle, Gene Hildebrandt, Jerri Martin, Marcos Her- <br />nandez, Jack Lindstrom, Gwen Smith, Betty Wolverton, John and Beth <br />Morrisset, Edwin Smith, Shirley Wickersham, Mr. and Mrs. Danny Devers, <br />Pat Price, Joe Cox, Jane Wilson, Berry James, Melissa Millecam, Allyn <br />Gill, Jackie Matthys, Brenda Smith, Dr. Ken Long and others. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Mrs. Norris moved the Council adjourn to Executive Session pursuant to <br />Article 6252-17, ~2(e), to discuss pending litigation, SWT vs. City of <br />San Marcos, and ~2(g), to discuss personnel, V.A.C.S., and Mr. Brown <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously (7:30 p.m.). <br /> <br />Mrs. Mendez moved the Council convene at 8:00 p.m. and Mrs. Norris <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the direction to be taken <br />in the SWT vs. City of San Marcos lawsuit. Mrs. Norris moved that <br />staff proceed with the preparation of a general warranty deed on .23 <br />acres and a quitclaim deed on .459 acres and Mrs. Mendez seconded the <br />motion. Henry Kyle addressed the Council advising the City already <br />owned this property under the Munk deed, which was now parkland and <br />would require a vote of the people to be sold. After discussion Mrs. <br />Norris moved this matter be tabled for further clarification and Mr. <br />Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration the salaries for the City <br />Manager, City Attorney, City Secretary and Municipal Court Judges for <br />the new fiscal year. Mr. Brown moved City Manager's salary be set at <br />$35,500.00 and Mrs. Mendez seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br />Mr. Brown moved the City Attorney's salary be set at $25,000.00 and Mr. <br />Farr seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Brown moved <br />the City Secretary's salary be set at $16,000.00 and Mrs. Norris se- <br />conded the motion, which passed unanimously. Mr. Brown moved the <br />Municipal Court Judge's salary be set at $6,000.00 and Mrs. Norris <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes <br />of the Regular Meeting held August 9, 1982. Mrs. Norris moved to <br />approve the minutes and Mr. Kreczmer seconded the motion. On roll <br />call the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Brown, Farr, Kreczmer, Craddock, Mendez, Norris. <br /> <br />NAY: None. <br /> <br />ABSTAIN: Moore. <br /> <br />* Messrs. Kreczmer and Moore were not present to vote on the motion to <br /> adjourn to Executive Session but were present during Executive Ses- <br /> sion. <br /> <br /> <br />
