6O MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JULY 12, 1982 PRESENT: Mayor Emmie Craddock Council Members Karl W. Brown Gerald G. Farr John A. Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of the minutes of the Regular Meeting held June 28, 1982. On roll call the following vote was recorded: AYE: Brown, Farr, Kreczmer, Mendez, Norris. NAY: None. ABSTAIN: Craddock. Mayor Craddock opened a public hearing to consider a Zoning Ordinance on first reading zoning 76.52 acres of land out of the Juan Martin Veramendi League No. One in Hays County from "AO" to "LI". Kelley Kilber of Pro-Tech Engineering was present to speak in favor of the zoning request and to represent Kroger Company. He stated Kroger wanted to be in operation in January. Kroger was willing to contri- bute towards improvements to Hunter Road, which is a state highway. They have given 20 feet (platted) for the widening of Hunter Road. Their contribution will be used for a left turn lane entering Kroger, for an acceleration lane and towards improving Hunter Road as a four- lane road, up to a maximum amount of $150,000. No one else wished to speak in favor or against the zoning request, so Mayor Craddock closed the public hearing. The Council then con- sidered the Ordinance on first reading, the caption which was read as follows: AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED SEPTEMBER 29, 1980 (VOL. 54) BY ZONING 76.52 ACRES OF LAND OUT OF THE JUAN MARTIN VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. ONE IN HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, A/K/A 2301 HUNTER ROAD, FROM "AO" (AGRICULTURAL- OPEN SPACE DISTRICT) TO "LI" (LIGHT INDUSTRIAL DISTRICT). * Jaime Moore was not present at this meeting.
