Mr. Moore moved to <br />appoint Kris Millecam (student) and Gloria Pimentel (parent); Mr. <br />Hart moved to appoint Bryan Hurt (student) and David McCall <br />(parent); Mayor Morris moved to appoint Carrie Major (student) and <br />Sandy Neese (parent); Mr. Guerra moved to appoint Steve Bazan <br />(parent); Ms. Kissler moved to appoint Claire Margerison (student) <br />and Jonnie Wilson (parent); Mr. Plummer moved to appoint Angela <br />Schlimgen (student); and Mayor Morris moved to appoint the following <br />support members: Irma Chavez, Juvenile Investigator for the <br />Sheriff's Department, Sandra Martin, Executive Director of <br />Hays/Caldwell Council on Alcohol and Drug Abuse, Rodney Van <br />Ouderkerke, Juvenile Investigator of the San Marcos Police <br />Department, Forrest McBride, Senior High Counselor for the SMCISD, <br />Mike Martin, At Risk and Attendance Coordinator for the SMCISD, <br />Dennis Malchak, Student Assistant Counselor for the SMCISD, Nina <br />Wright, Project Director for Drug Free San Marcos, Larry Walker of <br />the Youth Service Bureau, Albert Sierra, Executive Director for the <br />Housing Authority, and Adrian Rebecca Gonzalez of the Housing <br />Authority, which passed unanimously. The remaining appointments <br />will be made November 4. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced the receiving of an annual report from the <br />Heritage Association of San Marcos regarding the Charles S. Cock <br />House. Mrs. Helen VanGundy reviewed with Council a written report <br />which had been provided to the Council in their packets and <br />particularly expenditures made to the Cock House and surrounding <br />grounds. The Council thanked the Heritage Association for their <br />dedication and good work. <br /> <br />Mayor Morris introduced for consideration confirmation of the City <br />Manager's appointment of a Director of the Planning and Development <br />Services Department. Mr. Gilley recommended the confirmation of Ron <br />Patterson, Senior Planner in Georgetown who has 15 years experience <br />and has served in the past as City Manager of Cedar Park. with the <br />Council's confirmation, Mr. Patterson would begin November 18. Mr. <br />Moore moved for confirmation of the City Manager's appointment of <br />Mr. Patterson and Mr. Hart seconded the motion, which passed <br />
