I I I 123 MINUTES OF THE REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN HARCOS, TEXAS, DECEMBER 4, 1978 Present: Mayor Robert L. Cavazos Council Hembers Frank T. Arredondo Ted Breihan John A. Sutton Acting City Manager City Secretary Assistant City Attorney Director of Public Works Director of Finance Director of Public Safety Assistant to the City Hanager Albert Sierra Doriss Hambrick Barbara Edwards Ray Kotowski Earl T. Williams Robert Hinnie Jake Krauskopf Also Present: Jerri Martin, Alan King, Frances Emery, Alvin Langhamer, Gordon Thompson, Terry Roberts, Jim Burwell, Ruth King, Gary Bond, Chris Bishop, David Munger, Henry C. Kyle, J. K. Parker, John Bryant, Harry Overstreet, Mary Castillo, and others. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. On motion of Mr. James and second of Mr. Hansen, the minutes of the regular meeting held Monday, November 27, 1978 were approved. Mayor Cavazos introduced for consideration the meeting schedule for the last week in December and the first week in January. Mr. Albert Sierra, Acting City Manager, explained the last week in December fell on a Monday which is Christmas Day and the first week in January fell on a Monday, too, which is New Year's Day. Christmas and New Year's are City holidays. Mr. Arredondo moved the meetings scheduled for the last week in December and the first week in January be cancelled. Mr. Breihan seconded the motion which passed unanimously. Mayor Cavazos read the caption of a resolution as follows: A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR OF SAID TO EXECUTE A CONTRACT BETWEEN THE CITY OF SAN HARCOS AND THE SAN MARCOS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE FOR ALLOCATING REVENUES FROM THE HOTEL OCCUPANCY ROOM TAX TO THE SAN MARCOS CHAMBER OF COMMERCE. Mr. Gordon Thompson was present to summarize the annual report of the Tourist Development Commission. Mr. James moved the resolution be adopted. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor introduced for consideration a request for the temporary location of a mobile home on Lot 20, Block 12 of the C. D. Wallace Addition, 314 Durango Street. Mr. Cavazos stated this request was tabled so that the applicant, Arthur Guerra, could speak to the person objecting to the mobile home. Since Mr. Guerra was not in the audience, the request was left on the table.
