Kotowski <br />Barbara Edwards <br />Doriss Hambrick <br /> <br />ABSENT: <br /> <br />Council Member <br /> <br />Bob Hyatt <br /> <br />Also Present: Jeff Watkins, Terry Lighthouse, Joe Garza, John <br />McCrocklin, C.C. Hughson, Shirley Wickersham, Glenn Longley, Bill <br />Millsap, Chester witte, Jake Krauskopf, John Stokes, Karl Brown and others. <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 3:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration an Ordinance having the <br />following caption: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING RATE SCHEDULES TO BE CHARGED <br />BY LOWER COLORADO RIVER AUTHORITY IN THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, PROVIDING FOR AN EFFECTIVE DATE FOR SUCH <br />RATE SCHEDULES, AND PROVIDING CONDITIONS UNDER WHICH <br />SUCH RATE SCHEDULES MAY BE CHANGED, MODIFIED, AMENDED <br />OR WITHDRAWN. <br /> <br />Mr. Cavazos moved the Ordinance be adopted on third and final <br />reading." Mr. Tenorio seconded the motion, which passed unanimOUSly. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for consideration an Ordinance having the <br />following caption: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS, APPROVING THE PRICE AND CONDITIONS OF <br />THE SALE BY THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OF 25,450 <br />SQUARE FEET OF LAND AREA OUT OF THE J.M. VERAMENDI <br />SURVEy NO. ONE (FURTHER DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS <br />IN THE ATTACHED EXHIBIT AI. ALSO KNOWN AS URBAN RENEWAL <br />PARCEL 12.,.2 LOCATED WITHIN THE TEX. A-6 NEJEGHBORHOOD <br />DEVELOPMENT PROGRAM AREA, TO TED COHEN; AUTHORIZING THE <br />$yOR TO EXECUTE A WARRANTY DEED TO TED COHEN; AND DECLARING <br />AN EFFECTIVE DATE, <br /> <br />Mr. Breihan moved the Ordinance be approved on second reading. <br />Mr. Cavazos seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a public hearing to consider proposed revision <br />of the subdivision ordinance. Mr. Joe Garza, Planning & Zoning <br />Administrator and Acting Director of Public Works, summarized the <br />revisions in the proposed ordinance. City Attorney, Barbara Edwards, <br />reported to the Council that the proposal should be amended to <br />make the definition of preliminary approval of subdivision plat <br />conform to statutory requirements; that the section on replatting <br />of property needed to be amended to provide for the joinder of <br />all property owners in a subdivision before a part of it could <br />be replatted under specific circumstances; that a townhouse zoning <br />district was contained in the ordinance but not included in the <br />zoning ordinance; that the plat review" committee had been abolished <br />and a development review committee defined but given no specific <br />duties; and finally, that certain terminology had been changed in <br />the new definitions But not later in the body of the ordinance. <br /> <br />~- <br />~.. <br />
