The Minutes of the regular meeting of October 9 were approved as presented on motion of Councilman DeLa Rosa and second of Counci Iman Tauch. I The Mayor stated that the next item on the Agenda was a request from Mr. B. Frankl in Davidson for a change in zoning on part of Lot 1 and all of Lots 2,3,4,5 and 6 in Block 1 and Lots 1,2,3,4 and 5 in Block 2, and that lot known as Street Lot between Blocks 1 and 2 in the N,L. Camp Addition, from "R-l" to "Cu. Mr. Davidson came before the Council to request that the Publ ic Hearing be postponed in ord~r for him to obtain furthe~ information from architects necessary to.his presentation. Mr. ~nd Mrs. Charles Martin, owners of property in the area, protested the postponment, stating that the Planning and Zoning Commi~sion had recommended denial of the request, and that there were property owners present who were in opposition to the change. Mr. DeLa Rosa moved ~o postpone the Publ ic Hearing to a later date. The motion was seconded by Mr. Cunningham. The M~yor ~tated_that the Counci I was wil ling to hear anyone who wished to recommend or protest the requested change. There was no further discussion. On roll call, the motion passed unanimously. The Mayor announced that he had, that day, iss~ed a Proclamation in observance of United Nations Day, and that he wished to present to Mrs. Ruth Agnew Manske the United Nations Distinguished Service Award in appreciation of publ ic service in promoting the nationwide observance of United Nations pay 1972.
