<br />9 <br /> <br />SPECIAL MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, OCTOBER 15,1973 <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />Eddy A. Etheredge <br /> <br />Councilmen <br /> <br />William L. Cunningham <br />Guillermo DeLa Rosa <br />Bill Dibrell <br />Luciano H. Flores <br />Ross King <br />David R. Tauch <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />City Manager <br />City Attorney <br />City Secretary <br /> <br />James B. Baugh <br />Tom Akins <br />Doriss Hambrick <br /> <br />Also present: Jon W. Sparks; James L. Wright; J.F. Kocuck; Mason D. Cox; <br />Russel Smith; Jim Broussard; Curtis Adrian <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />Councilmen opened bids on $205,000 General Obligation Bonds for Street <br />Improvements assisted by the City Manager and Curtis Adrian, Fiscal Agent. <br />(see bid sheet attached) Mr. Adrian recommended award of lowest and <br />best bid to Underwood, Neuhaus and Company. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Councilman DeLa Rosa introduced an ordinance authorizing the issuance of <br />$205,000 General Obligation Bonds, which Mr. Adrian read in full. <br />Councilman Cunningham moved that the rule requiring ordinances to be read <br />at more than one meeting of the City Council be suspended, and that this <br />ordinance be passed as an emergency measure as stated in the preamble of <br />said ordinance, and that said ordinance become effective immediately from <br />and after its passage. Motion was seconded by Councilman DeLa Rosa. On <br />roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Cunningham, DeLa Rosa, Dibrell, Etheredge, Flores, King, Tauch <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />Councilman DeLa Rosa moved that the ordinance be passed finally. The motion <br />was seconded by Councilman Cunningham.
