Ruby; Ronald Saunders; <br />Harold Koehler; Trudy Whitmire; Frances Emery; Dalton Cole; <br />Shirley Wickersham; Brent Schurring; Peyton Lundy; Bruce Palmer <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held November 26, 1973, were approved on <br />motion of Mr. DeLa Rosa and second of Mr. Cunningham, with Dr. Tauch abstaining <br />due to his absence at that meeting. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mayor Etheredge reported that an Executive Session of the Council had been <br />held November 26, 1973, to discuss the proposed resolution appointing seven <br />deputy clerks of the Municipal Court, the duties and responsibilities of the <br />Municipal Court Clerk, and procedural problems in the police department. He <br />further reported that no action had been taken. <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a change in <br />zoning of Lot 1 and part of Lot 2, Block I of the B.F. Donaldson Addition, <br />from "C" to "C-2". Mr. Clark Boeken, applicant, was present to request the <br />change. There were no objections voiced. The Mayor closed the Public Hearing <br />and read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES <br />AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND <br />LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOT 1 <br />AND PART OF LOT 2, BLOCK 1 IN THE B.F. DONALDSON ADDITION, LOCATED <br />ON A TRACT OF LAND LYING BETWEEN GUADALUPE AND L.B.J. STREETS AND <br />CHEATHAM STREET AND THE M.K.T. RAILROAD, FROM "C" (COMMERCIAL) TO <br />"C-2" (COMMERCIAL). <br /> <br />Dr. Tauch moved the Ordinance be approved on first reading. Mr. Cunningham <br />seconded the motion, which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider a request from the Planning and <br />Zoning Commission to arbitrarily change the zoning of certain lots recently <br />annexed in the Westover Addition. from "i-I" to "W' and "C". The City Manager <br />explained that the Commission was attempting to zone the newly annexed <br />property to conform to its present usage. There were no objections voiced. <br />The Mayor closed the Hearing and read the caption of an ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES <br />AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND <br />LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF LOTS I <br />THROUGH 8, BLOCK 1, LOTS 9 THROUGH 16 OF BLOCK 2, LOTS 17 THROUGH 22 <br />OF BLOCK 3 AND LOTS 199 THROUGH 201 AND 302 THROUGH 304 OF BLOCK 4 <br />IN THE WESTOVER ADDITION FROM "R-I" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO <br />"C" (COMMERCIAL); AND LOTS 37 THROUGH 44 OF BLOCK 1, LOTS 29 THROUGH <br />36 OF BLOCK 2, LOTS 23 THROUGH 28 OF BLOCK 3, AND LOTS 202 THROUGH <br /> <br />L <br />
