Koch, <br />Jerri Martin, Lanny Cravy, David Basye <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p,m. <br /> <br />The Rev. Jack Byrom, President of San Marcos Academy, gave the <br />Invocation. <br /> <br />Councilman Zavesky moved approval of the Minutes of a regular <br />meeting, February 22, 1971. Councilman Yarbrough seconded the <br />motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY: <br />ABSTAIN: <br /> <br />Flores, King, Yarbrough, Zavesky <br />None <br />Smith <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />Mr. Zavesky moved approval of the Minutes of an executive <br />session, March 1, 1971. Mr, Yarbrough secohded the motion, <br />which passed unanimously. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced an ordinance and read the caption: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE ESTABLISHING A BOARD TO ADVISE THE CITY <br />COUNCIL AND THE CITY ADMINISTRATIVE STAFF IN MATTERS <br />CONCERNING THE ENVIRONMENT OF THE CITIZENS OF SAN <br />MARCOS, TEXAS; AND ENACTING PROVISIONS INCIDENT AND <br />RELATING TO THE SUBJECT; DECLARING AN EMERGENCY; ~~D <br />PROVIDING THAT THIS ORDINANCE SHALL TAKE EFFECT IM- <br />MEDIATELY UPON ITS PASSAGE <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />.Mr, Flores moved. adop'tion of the Environmental Ordinance. <br />Mr. Zavesky seconded the motion, Mr. King said he was opposed <br />to passing ordinances on emergency. The Mayor said the ordi- <br />nance had been authorized by the Council some weeks ago, and <br />the subject had been given considerable publicity. On roll <br />eall, the following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Flores, King, Smith, Yarbrough, Zavesky <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the Ordinance Passed, Approved and Adopted. <br /> <br />The Mayor said members of the Committee should be named as <br />soon as possible.
