REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, JULY 13, 1970 Present: Mayor Hollis W. Smith Councilmen: Frank Contreras, jr. Emmie Craddock, Ph.D. Luciano H. Smith, Jerri Martin The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. The Rev. Joseph Bochenski, Pastor of St. John's Church, gave the Invocation. I The Minutes of four meetings were presented for consideration. The City Secretary asked that the Minutes of June 22, 1970 be amended on page two to include other nominations to the Charter Review Commission, the paragraph to read: "Dr. Craddock opened discussion on the Charter Review Commission, which must be appointed at the first regu- lar meeting in July of even-numbered years. Dr. Craddock said Ernest Morgan, Dr. Richard Henderson and Dr. J.H. Tidwell had agreed to serve, if appointed. The Mayor said Dr~ Alfred Borm had offered to serve on the Commission. Mr. Yarbrough proposed the name of Jerry Moore. Several other possible appointees were mentioned. The Mayor asked that any other nominations be given to the City Secretary before the July 13 Agenda is prepared.H Mr. Flores moved that the June 8 Minutes be approved as pre- sented; Dr. Craddock seconded the motion and on roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: ABSTAIN: Contreras, Craddock, Flores,Smith, Yarnrough None King I The Mayor declared the motion carried. Mr. Contreras moved approval of the June 9 Minutes. Dr. Craddock seconded the motion and on rollcall, the following vote was recorded: AYE: NAY: ABSTAIN: C~addock, Contreras, Flores, Smith, Yarbrough None King The Mayor declared the motion carried.
