22 REGULAR MEETING OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AUGUST 12, 1974 Present: Mayor Enunie Craddock I Councilmen Ted Breihan William L. Cunningham Bill Dibrell Luciano H. Williams Director, Public Works William Friedrich Others Present: Mrs. Shirley Wickersham, Larry Murphree, Mr, and Mrs. C.D. Marshall, Rowe Ray, Ray Stone, Mr. and Mrs. D.B. Thomas, Tom Harwood, Frances Emery, Melissa Millecam, Terry Roberts, Jerri Martin, Beverly Howard, Terry Lighthouse, Mrs. John Dunn, Mrs. Inez Ramsey, Charles Sukle, and others. The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. I The Minutes of the Regular Meeting of July 22, 1974 were unanimously approved o~ motiondf Mr. Sutton and a second by.Mr. Hansen, The Minutes of the Special Meeting of July 29, 1974, were unanimously approved on motion of Mr. Sutton and a second by Mr. Breihan. The Minutes of the Special Meeting of August 6, 1974, were unanimously approved on motion of. Mr. Sutton and a second by Mr. Cunningham. Mayor Craddock opened a Public Hearing to consider a request for a change of zoning of a three acre tract out of the T.J. Chambers Survey, located at 1252 North L.B.J. Drive, from "R-l" (single family residential) to "R-2" (duplex). Mr. Charles Davis spoke in favor of this change of zoning. Mr.. Br~ihan spokebn thetl;'affid problems in the area in question. The Mayor closed the hearing and read the c~ption of an ordinance as follows: I AN ORDINANCE AMENDING SECTION 3 OF THAT ORDINANCE WHICH REGULATES AND RESTRICTS THE LOCATION AND USE OF BUILDINGS, STRUCTURES AND LAND, DATED MAY 23, 1966 (VOL. 32) BY CHANGING THE ZONING OF A THREE ACRE TRACT OUT OF THE T.J. CHAMBERS SURVEY, LOCATED AT 1252 NORTH L.B.J. DRIVE, FROM "R-l" (SINGLE FAMILY RESIDENTIAL) TO "R-2" (DUPLEX). Mr. Breihan moved the ordinance be tabled on first reading. Mr. Dibrell seconded the motion. On roll call, the following vote was recorded: AYE: Breihan, Cunningham, Dibrell, Flores, Hansen, Sutton NAY: Craddock The Mayor declared the motion passed and the ordinance tabled on first reading. The Mayor opened a Public Hearing to consider the Annual Budget for the fiscal year 1974-1975. City Manager, James B. Baugh summarized the budget. The audience asked various
