Marshall, <br />Warren Leddick, Susan Fritsche, Jerry Hennenkamp, <br />Frank Arredondo, Don King, Jerri Martin, Terry Roberts, <br />Melissa Millecam, Mrs. Ada Burke, Mrs. Florene Oatman, <br />Mike McKinster, and others. <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock read a Proclamation which proclaimed August 31 - <br />September 1 and 2, 1974, as "Jerry Lewis Muscular Dystrophy Telethon <br />Weekend." <br /> <br />The Minutes of the Regular Meeting held August 12, 1974, were approved <br />on motion of Mr, Breihan. Mr. Hansen seconded the motion. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock presented the Mayor's Beautification Award to Mr. Mike <br />McKinster of Discovery Records. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock opened a Public Hearing to consider an ordinance amend- <br />ing Chapter 18 of the Code of Ordinances of the City of San Marcos <br />by repealing Section 18-1 and substituting a new section entitled 18-1 <br />"Closing Public Parks between Certain Hours with Enumerated Exceptions <br />Thereto." There were no objections to this ordinance. The Mayor <br />closed the Public Hearing and read the caption of an ordinance as <br />follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 18 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY, <br />ENTITLED "PARKS AND RECREATION," BY REPEALING SECTION <br />18-1 AND SUBSTITUTING IN ITS STEAD A NEW SECTION ENTITLED <br />18-1 "CLOSING PUBLIC PARKS BETWEEN CERTAIN HOURS WITH ENU- <br />MERATED EXCEPTIONS THERETO." <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Mr, Sutton moved the ordinance be approved. Mr. Breihan seconded the <br />motion which passed unanimously. The Mayor declared the motion passed <br />and the ordinance approved on first reading. <br /> <br />Mayor Craddock opened a Public Hearing to consider an ordinance amending <br />Chapter 18 of the Code of Ordinances of said City by enacting a new <br />section numbered 18-2 entitled "Prohibiting Disruptive Conduct, etc." <br />Mr. Warren Leddick spoke in favor of the ordinance. There were no <br />objections. The Mayor closed the hearing and read the caption of an <br />ordinance as follows: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 18 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF SAID CITY ENTITLED <br />"PARKS AND RECREATION," BY ENACTING A NEW SECTION NUMBERED <br />18-2 ENTITLED "PROHIBITING DISRUPTIVE CONDUCT, ETC." <br />
