<br />62/ <br /> <br />REGULAR MEETING HELD ON DECEMBER 13, 1960 <br /> <br />On the 13th day of December 1960, at 2:00 o'clock in the <br />afternoon, the Governing Body of the City of San Marcos met in regular <br />session at the City Hall, Mayor C. M. Allen presiding. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Present: <br /> <br />Mayor <br />Alderman <br /> <br />C. M. Allen <br />S. R. Beecroft <br />B. D. Hillburn <br />Herman Korff <br />City Manager B. R. Fuller <br />City Secretary Judy B. Brackett <br /> <br />Also Present: <br /> <br />Absent: <br /> <br />Alderman <br /> <br />Mrs. Roland Manske, AAUW <br />Tom Buckner, San Marcos RECORD <br />James Tuttle <br /> <br />The meeting was called to order by the Mayor and the minutes <br />of the meetings of November 8th, 15th 29th and December 9th were read <br />and approved. <br /> <br />Alderman Beecroft introduced an ordinance calling for an <br />election to be held on January 17, 1961 for the purpose of electing <br />an alderman to fill the unexpired term of the late Alderman Wilbur <br />M. Davis, and moved its adoption. The ordinance was read in full <br />and Alderman Hillburn seconded the motion of adoption. <br />Upon roll call the following voted: <br /> <br />Aye: <br /> <br />Beecroft, Hillburn and Korff <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Nays: None <br />Vfuereupon Mayor Allen declared the ordinance passed, approved and <br />adopted. <br /> <br />The City Manager reported on the entrance road into the <br />San Marcos Baptist Academy property and recommended that Moore Street <br />be extended and improved provided the Academy could acquire the <br />mecessary right-of-way for this extension. This recommendation was <br />accepted by the Council. <br /> <br />Alderman Hillburn introduced an ordinance entitled,: <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE VACATING AND CLOSING THAI PORTION OF <br />ALBEM.ARLE STREET BETWEEN BLOCKS <br />etc <br />and moved its adoption. The Ordinance was read in <br />motion of adoption was seconded by Alderman Korff. <br />the ayes and nays were: <br /> <br />full and the <br />Upon roll call <br /> <br />Ayes: <br /> <br />Beecroft, Hillburn and Korff <br /> <br />Nays: <br /> <br />None <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Vfuereupon Mayor Allen declared the Ordinance passed, <br />approved and adopted. <br /> <br />A recommendation that the Council request the library <br />Club to appoint three members to work with the City Manager in <br />programming and planning the proposed improvements to the city <br />library.was approved by the Council. <br />
