Brown, Charles Shivers, Bob Barton, <br />Galen Wellnicki, Mrs. Jerri Veidt <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30p.m. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />Minutes of the meet i ngs of November 13 & 15, 1967 were approved <br />as presented, on motion of Mr. Damon and second of Dr. Craddock. <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced by caption an ordinance annexing Lots 507 thru <br />510 of Block 34, Westover Addition. Dr. Craddock moved adoption of <br />the ordinance on second reading. Mr. Flores seconded the motion and <br />on roll call, the following vote was recordedi <br /> <br />AYE: <br />NAY; <br /> <br />Craddock, Damon, Flores, Korff, Pool, Serur <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the ordinance passed on second reading. <br /> <br />The Mayor read aloud a letter from Frank Zimmerman, regarding <br />a raise in~he monthly rental On the parking lot leased to the City. <br />The City Manager explained that ~h~ City would need additional <br />space for parking 'whenconstru ct i on starts on the new fi restat ion. <br />Mr. Damon moved that ~r. Zimmerman's proposal of $80 rental per <br />month for the present parking lot, and the smaller Int, be accepted. <br />Dr. Craddock seconded the motion and on roll call, the following <br />vote Was recorded: <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />AYE; <br />NAY: <br /> <br />Craddock, Damon, Flores, Korff, Pool, Serur <br />None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />), <br />The Mayor i~Foduced the matter of selecting th~ official name for <br />Proj ect #2 o.f the Genepa I Ne i ghborhood Renewa I P I an. Mr. Serur <br />said two names had been suggested:"Merriman", for Dr. EI i T. <br />Merriman, one of the three citizens who purchased the Juan Veramendi <br />land grant arid laid out the present town of San Marcos; and "EI <br />Mol ino", Spanish for "The Old Mi I I" , referring to the old mi II <br />
