Beene. <br />Laura Whittenberg, Mr. and Mrs. Harry Wayne, <br />Johnny Arredondo, Bill Veidt, Lanny Cravey <br /> <br />The Mayor called the meeting to order at 7:30 p.m. <br /> <br />The Minutes of the April 14, 1969 meeting were approved as presented. <br />on motion of Mr. Smith and second of Dr. Craddock. <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor introduced for second reading an ordinance annexing <br />property on Holland Street owned by the American Lutheran Church. <br />Dr. Craddock moved approval of the annexation ordinance, on second <br />reading. Mr. Smith seconded the motion and on roll call, the <br />following vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AYE: Craddock, Contreras, Dannelley, Flores, Serur. Smith <br />NAY: None <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the ordinance passed on second reading. <br /> <br />The Mayor read a letter from the Planning & Zoning Commission, <br />recommending a change of zoning from HRH(single family residential) <br />to HMH (mixed) on Lots 76 & 77, A.M. Ramsay Addition. as requested <br />by the American G.I. Forum. At the public hearing held April 22, <br />no opposition was voiced to the proposed change of zoning. <br />Mr. Dannelley moved that the Council approve the change of zoning. <br />Mr. Contreras seconded the motion and on roll call the following <br />vote was recorded: <br /> <br />AY E: <br />NAY: <br />ABSTAINING <br /> <br />Craddock, Contreras. Dannelley, Serur, Smith <br />None <br />Flores <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />The Mayor declared the motion carried. <br /> <br />Dr. Craddock asked for a progress report on the study being made of <br />the rate increase requested by United Gas Co. Mr. Bean said Ernst & <br />Ernst should have a report on the study in about two weeks. <br /> <br />Mr. Flores asked the City Manager if the School District would <br />assume responsibility for the drainage problems created by construct- <br />ion of the New Junior High School. He stated Sunset Acres was being <br />
