<br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />I <br /> <br />135 <br /> <br />ORDINANCE NO. 1978-53 <br /> <br />AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br />CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING <br />CHAPTER 29 OF THE CODE OF ORDINANCES, <br />ENTITLED "TRAFFIC", BY DELETING TWO <br />SECTIONS FROM SECTION 29-122, ENTITLED <br />"STOP SIGNS", OF ARTICLE V, ENTITLED <br />"TRAFFIC CONTROL DEVICES", OF SAID CHAPTER; <br />BY ADDING TO SECTION 29-122, ENTITLED <br />"STOP SIGNS", OF THE AFORESAID ARTICLE AND <br />CHAPTER, TWO LOCATIONS FOR STOP SIGNS; AND <br />DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. <br /> <br />BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> <br />SECTION 1: That Section 29-122 entitled "Stop Signs", of <br />Article V, entitled "Traffic Control Devices", of Chapter 29 <br />of the City Code of Ordinances be, and is hereby, amended by <br />deleting the following locations from the list of locations <br />for authorized stop signs, to-wit: <br /> <br />Intersection Direction of Approach <br /> <br />North Barbara Drive and Bugg Lane North <br />Post Road and Aquarena Springs Road South <br /> <br />SECTION 2: That Section 29-122, entitled stop signs, of the <br />aforesaid article and chapter of the City Code of Ordinances, <br />be, and is hereby, amended by adding two new locations at which <br />drivers, in accordance with the provisions of the City Code, <br />shall stop at stop signs posted on the intersections specified <br />from the directions indicated, to-wit: <br /> <br />Intersection <br /> <br />Direction of Approach <br /> <br />South <br />North <br /> <br />North Barbara Drive and Bugg Lane <br />Post Road and Aquarena Springs Road <br /> <br />SECTION 3: That the importance of this Ordinance creates an <br />emergency and an imperative purpose necessary that the provisions <br />of the Charter requiring all ordinances be read on three separate <br />meetings and that no ordinance shall become effective until the <br />expiration of ten days following the date of its final passage <br />be suspended, and this provision is hereby suspended, and this <br />ordinance shall take effect and be in full force and effect from <br />and after its adoption and publication in a newspaper of general <br />circulation within the City. <br /> <br />ADOPTED this 11th day of December, 1978. <br /> <br />~cg~ <br /> <br />Mayor <br /> <br />~~ <br /> <br />Doriss Hambrick <br />City Secretary <br /> <br />;U~~~ <br /> <br />Charles E.
