ORDINANCE 19 81-51 <br /> <br />110 <br /> <br />AN CRDINANCE OF THE CITY ODUNCIL OF THE CITY <br />OF SAN MARC(IS, TEXAS, AMENDING THAT ORDINANCE <br />OF JUNE 22, 1981, THAT ORDERED A SPECIAL ELEC- <br />TICN ON AUGUST 8, 1981, FOR THE PURPOSES OF <br />ELECTING A M~YOR kND ~3BMITTING kW[ENDMENTS TO <br />THE CHARTER OF SAID CIXY TO INCLUDE THREE ADDI- <br />TIONAL (/tZ~TER AMENDMENT SUBMISSIONS ODNCERNING <br />THE READING OF ORDINANCES AAD TERMINOLOGY RE- <br />FERRING TO THE ADMINISTRATIVE STRUCTURE OF SAID <br />CITY AhD SEPARATION OF THE PLANNING ABD ZONING QOMMI- <br />SSION INTO TWO BODIES BArD TO DESIGNATE THE OFFICERS <br />WHO SHALL CONDUCT SAID ELECTION AbD DECLARING AN EMER- <br />GENCY. <br /> <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY ~ CITY (DUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEX~: <br /> <br /> SECTION 1. That section 2 of that Ordinance of June 22, 1981, that <br />ordered a special election on August 8, 1981, is hereby am]ended to read as <br />follows: <br /> <br /> Section 2. That the following propositions to amend the <br /> City Charter shall be submitted to the resident qualified <br /> voters of the City of San Marcos, Texas, on said date for <br /> their action thereupon: <br /> <br /> Proposition No. 1 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST: Amend Section 4.02 to require city council approval for <br /> the city manager to assign duties to the city secretary. <br /> <br /> Proposition No. 2 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST: Amend Section 4.03(e) to change the title of the al- <br /> ternate judge of the municipal court to that of <br /> associate judge. <br /> <br /> Proposition No. 3 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST: Amend Section 7.01 to delete the requirement that <br /> members of the city planning and zoning co~m~ission <br /> own real property in the city. <br /> <br /> Proposition No. 4 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST: Amend Section 7.05 to require that the required list <br /> of capital i~provements be submitted to the city <br /> council ninety days prior to the beginning of the <br /> fiscal Year. <br /> <br /> Proposition No. 5 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST: Amend Section 8.06 to specify that the notice of the <br /> public hearing on the budget be as required by state <br /> law. <br /> <br /> Proposition No. 6 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST: Amend Section 10.01 to change the terminology re- <br /> ferring to the department of taxation. <br /> <br /> Proposition No. 7 <br /> <br />FOR/AGAINST: Amend Section 10.05 to specify that the interest on <br /> delinquent taxes is to be the maximum allowed by state <br /> law. <br /> <br /> <br />
