<br /> 100 <br /> RESOLUTION 1993 - 26 R <br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY <br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS APPROVING THE TERMS AND <br /> CONDITIONS OF A THIRD SUPPLEMENTAL AGREEMENT <br /> TO EXISTING LAND LEASE BETWEEN THE CITY AND <br /> THE UNITED STATES OF AMERICA FOR AN EXCHANGE <br /> OF LAND; AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO <br /> EXECUTE THE AGREEMENT ON BEHALF OF THE CITY; <br /> AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> WHEREAS, the United States of America has a current long term <br />lease with the City for the U.S. Army Reserve Post; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City is currently building a new library <br />directly southwest of the land leased by the United States of <br />America; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the City wishes to obtain 26,881 square feet of land <br />on the southwest side of the U.s. Army Reserve lease to allow for <br />the future expansion of parking spaces for the library; and, <br /> WHEREAS, the U.S. Army Reserve has agreed to amend its <br />lease agreement so as to exclude the currently leased land on the <br />southwest side of the leased premises for an equd.valent parcel of <br />land on the northeast side of the leased land; now, therefore, <br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, <br />TEXAS: <br /> PART 1. That the terms and conditions of the Lease attached <br />to this Resolution between the City and United States of America <br />are hereby approved. <br /> PART 2. That the City Manager, Larry D. Gilley is hereby <br />authorized to execute this Agreement on behalf of the City. <br /> PART 3.
