<br /> A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
<br /> OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, AMENDING THE FUTURE LAND
<br /> USE MAP OF THE MASTER PLAN OF THE CITY, FROM
<br /> INDUSTRIAL TO PUBLIC FOR 11.98 ACRES OF LAND
<br /> OUT OF THE J.M. VERAMENDI LEAGUE NO. 1 IN THE
<br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS,
<br /> LOCATED AT 2300 IH-35 SOUTH AND DECLARING AN
<br /> EFFECTIVE DATE.
<br /> WHEREAS, on June 18, 1991, the Joint Planning and Zoning
<br />commissions of the City of San Marcos held a public hearing
<br />regarding a request to amend the Future Land Use Map of the Master
<br />Plan from Industrial to Public for 11.98 acres of land out of the
<br />J.M. Veramendi League No. 1, in the city of San Marcos, Hays
<br />County, Texas, located at 2300 IH-35 South; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, subsequent to the public hearing on that date, the
<br />Commissions did, on June 18, 1991, consider the request and voted
<br />to approve it and have recommended that the request be approved by
<br />the City Council of the City; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council held a public hearing on the 26thday
<br />of August , 1991, regarding the request; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, all requirements of the Master Plan pertaining to
<br />amendments have been met; and,
<br /> WHEREAS, the City Council hereby finds and determines that the
<br />adoption of the following resolution is in the interest of the
<br />public, health, morals, welfare and safety; now, therefore,
<br /> BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS,
<br />TEXAS:
<br /> PART 1: That the following described tract of real property
<br />located at 2300 IH-35 South, San Marcos, Hays County, Texas, which
<br />is in an area shown on the Future Land Use Map of the Master Plan
<br />of the City of San Marcos as Industrial shall be shown on that map
<br />as Public:

<br /> THEREFROM 0.210 ACRES, AS CONVEYED TO WIDE-LITE
<br /> CORPORATION BY ESQUIRE, INC., AND WIDE-LITE CORPORATION
<br /> BY DEED DATED JULY 3, 1983 AND RECORDED IN VOLUME 397,
<br /> PAGE 297, HAYS COUNTY DEED RECORDS, AND BEING A PORTION
<br /> OF LOT 1, WIDE-LITE UNIT 1, A SUBDIVISION OF RECORD IN
<br /> VOLUME 5, PAGE 146, HAYS COUNTY PLAT RECORDS, AND BEING
<br /> MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS AS
<br /> FOLLOWS, TO-WIT:
<br /> Beginning at an iron stake with an aluminum cap marked
<br /> "Pro-Tech Eng" found in the southwest line of F.M.
<br /> Highway No. 3407 (Wonder World Drive) at the east corner
<br /> of Lot 1 of Southern Post Company Subdivision, a
<br /> subdivision of record in Book 5, Page 98, Hays County
<br /> Plat Records, same being the north corner of the said Lot
