Herrera <br /> Director of Planning Frank Robbins <br /> Also Present: Mike Wagner, Mark Hendricks, Jennifer Coddington, Jay <br /> Moore, Ivar Gunnarson, Jeff Hill, John Diaz, Jim Gandy, Roger storey <br /> and others. <br /> Mayor Craddock called the meeting to order at 5:15 p.m. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration a public hearing on an <br /> Annexation, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, ANNEXING TO SAID CITY A 62.235 ACRE <br /> TRACT OF-LAN~ AND BEI~G APPROXIMATELY 48.015 ACRES <br /> OUT OF THE B. O'KANE SURVEY AND APPROXIMATELY 14.22 <br /> ACRES OUT OF THE J. M. VERAMENDI SURVEY NO. ONE, AND <br /> ALSO BEING OUT OF THE CENTRAL PORTION OF A TRACT OF <br /> 195.677 ACRES DESCRIBED IN VOLUME 272, PAGE 409 OF <br /> THE DEED OF TRUST RECORDS OF HAYS COUNTY, TEXAS, <br /> SAID LAND BEING LOCATED WITHIN THE EXTRATERRITORIAL <br /> JURISDICTION OF SAID CITY AND LYING ADJACENT TO PRE- <br /> SENT CITY BOUNDARIES; APPROVING A SERVICE PLAN FOR <br /> SAID TRACT; EXTENDING THE BOUNDARY LIMITS OF SAID <br /> CITY SO AS TO INCLUDE SAID TRACT; GRANTING TO THE IN- <br /> HABITANTS OF SAID TRACT ALL THE RIGHTS AND PRIVILEGES <br /> OF OTHER CITIZENS OF SAID CITY; BINDING SAID INHABITANTS <br /> BY ALL OF THE ACTS AND ORDINANCES, RULES AND REGULATIONS <br /> OF SAID CITY; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> Mayor Craddock opened the public hearing and asked if anyone wished <br /> to speak in favor or in opposition to the annexation. No one did, so <br /> Mayor Craddock closed the public hearing. The Service Plan was avail- <br /> able for review by citizens. <br /> Mayor Craddock introduced for consideration approval of an Ordinance <br /> on second reading, the caption which was read as follows: <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS, ADDING AN APPENDIX B, THE SAN MARCOS <br /> SIGN ORDINANCE, TO THE CODE OF ORDINANCES OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS REGULATING THE SIZE, HEIGHT, MAIN- <br /> TENANCE AND LOCATION OF BOTH ON-PREMISE AND OFF-PREMISE <br /> SIGNS WITHIN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS AND ITS EXTRATERRI- <br /> TORIAL JURISDICTION; PROVIDI~G FOR NON-CONFORMING SIGNS; <br /> EXEMPTING CERTAIN SIGNS; REQUIRI~G STREET NUMBER SIGNS; <br /> PROHIBITING CERTAIN SIGNS; PROVIDING FOR PERMITS; LI- <br /> CENSING CERTAIN SIGNS; OTHERWISE REGULATING SIGNAGE; <br /> PROVIDING FOR INSPECTION, ENFORCEMENT, APPEAL AND <br /> VARIANCES; AND DECLARING AN EFFECTIVE DATE. <br /> * Mr. Guerra was present at 5:31 p.m. <br />
