<br /> 95 <br /> ORDINANCE 1985-10 <br /> AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE <br /> CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS, ORDERING A <br /> JOINT GENERAL ELECTION BY SAID CITY AND <br /> THE SAN MARCOS CONSOLIDATED INDEPENDENT <br /> SCHOOL DISTRICT, TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF <br /> SAN MARCOS, TEXAS ON APRIL 6, 1985 FOR THE <br /> PURPOSE OF ELECTING A CITY COUNCIL MEMBER, <br /> PLACE FIVE AND A CITY COUNCIL MEMBER, <br /> PLACE SIX: AND TO BE HELD WITHIN AND <br /> WITHOUT THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY <br /> ON APRIL 6, 1985 FOR THE PURPOSE OF <br /> ELECTING A SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF <br /> TRUSTEES MEMBER, PLACE ONE AND A SCHOOL <br /> DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEMBER, PLACE <br /> TWO; ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF COMPENSATION <br /> TO BE PAID JUDGES AND CLERKS FOR SERVICES <br /> RENDERED DURING SAID ELECTION: MAKING <br /> PROVISIONS FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE ELECTION <br /> AND OTHER PROVISIONS INCIDENT TO THE <br /> PURPOSES OF THIS ORDINANCE AND DECLARING <br /> AN EMERGENCY. <br /> BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN <br /> MARCOS, TEXAS: <br /> SECTION 1. That, in accordance with the provisions of <br /> Articles III, V, and XII of the Charter of the City of San <br /> Marcos and the laws of the State of Texas, so far as same may <br /> be applicable, a joint general election by the City of San <br /> Marcos, Texas and the San Marcos Consolidated Independent <br /> School District shall be held and the same is ordered and <br /> directed to be held, at the various polling places and <br /> election precincts within and without the corporate limits of <br /> the City of San Marcos, Texas, as hereinafter designated, on <br /> the 6th day of April, 1985, from the hours of 7:00 a.m. to <br /> 7 : 00 p. m., at which election there shall be elected by the <br /> qualified voters of the City of San Marcos, from the City at <br /> large, a City Council Member for Place Five and a City <br /> Council Member for Place Six, for terms of three years each. <br /> By the qualified voters of the San Marcos Consolidated <br /> Independent School District, there shall be elected a School <br /> District Board of Trustees Member, Place One and a School <br /> District Board of Trustees Member, Place Two, for terms of <br /> three years each. <br /> SECTION 2. That the election precincts for said <br /> election shall be, in all respects, the same precincts as <br /> those Hays County Election Precincts which are within and <br /> without the corporate limits of the City of San Marcos. <br /> SECTION 3.
