132 0\, ~ ORDINANCE No. 1985-20 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS AMENDING SECTION 3 AND SECTION 9 OF THAT ORDINANCE ADOPTED JANUARY 28, 1985 ORDERING A JOINT GENERAL ELECTION BY SAID CITY AND THE SAN MARCOS CONSOLIDATED INDE- PENDENT SCHOOL DISTRICT, TO BE HELD IN THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS ON APRIL 6, 1985 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A CITY COUNCIL MEMBER, PLACE FIVE, AND A CITY COUNCIL MEMBER, PLACE SIX, AND TO BE HELD WITHIN AND WITHOUT THE CORPORATE LIMITS OF SAID CITY ON APRIL 6, 1985 FOR THE PURPOSE OF ELECTING A SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEMBER, PLACE ONE, AND A SCHOOL DISTRICT BOARD OF TRUSTEES MEM- BER, PLACE TWO, ESTABLISHING THE RATE OF COM- PENSATION TO BE PAID JUDGES AND CLERKS FOR SERVICES RENDERED DURING SAID ELECTION, MAKING PROVISIONS FOR THE CONDUCT OF THE ELECTION AND OTHER PROVISIONS INCIDENT TO THE PURPOSES OF THIS ORDINANCE,TO CHANGE THE LOCATION OF THE POLLING PLACE FOR PRECINCTS 20 AND 21 TO RIVER ROAD AND TO PROVIDE THAT ABSENTEE VOTES SHALL BE DELIVERED TO THE CANVASSING BOARD AT C.M. ALLEN HOMES AT 12:00 NOON ON APRIL 6, 1985ï AND DECLARING AN EMERGENCY. BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF SAN MARCOS, TEXAS: SECTION 1. That Section 3 of that ordinance adopted January 28, 1985 ordering a joint general election by said City and the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District on April 6, 1985 and making provisions incident thereto as outlined in the caption hereinabove, is hereby amended as set forth below: SECTION 3. That the polling places and presiding and alternate judges for said election shall be as follows: Precinct # Polling Place Presiding Alternate Judge Judge . . . 20 & 21 C.M. Allen Homes Margie Villalpando Mary Ann Till River Road . . . SECTION 2. That Section 9 of that ordinance adopted January 28, 1985 ordering a joint general election by said City and the San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District on April 6, 1985 and making provisions incident thereto as out1ined in the caption hereinabove, is hereby amended to read as follows: SECTION 9. That absentee voting for said election shall be held at City Hall, 630 East Hopkins Street within said City and at the Administration Building, San Marcos Consolidated Independent School District, 501 South L.B.J. Drive in said City. Said absentee voting shall be conducted during normal working days in the City Hall and in the Ad- ministration Building from March 18, 1985 to April 2, 1985, and the hours for absentee voting shall be from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. The address of 630 East Hopkins shall be the
